Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Maine visitor Satisfactory in every way, very nice breakfast
We stop at the Holiday Inn Express in Southington, Connecticut every year on our way to and from Maine.
Staff are helpful and friendly, accommodations are comfortable and clean, the price is reasonable, the pool is open late, and the breakfast, included in the price, is a big draw: not a "continental breakfast", but a full range of choices that the staff keeps stocked throughout the serving period. This year in particular we had reason to be grateful to the staff, since they recovered a new computer we left in the parking lot and held it until FedEx could ship it back to us. There is internet in the rooms, an extremely helpful little refrigerator, and other services and amenities that we do not use, including exercise equipment, but that would be useful for others. So we do recommend the Holiday Express.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ESPNer Great room despite shoddy exterior
Upon pulling up, I thought I had made a huge mistake. I was hoping for a newer, more modern Holiday Inn Express, and it was clear as I pulled up the driveway that this was an older building that had seen many visitors. However, upon entering my room I was extremely satisfied. Big and spacious for a single King hotel room, clean with many pieces of furniture, bright with ample lighting, and a large well-equipped bathroom.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by fellow travler Ok for quick stop overnight
It's ok for a very quick overnight stop. Kind of remote location for general touring but good if going to ESPN foe quick stay. It is technically functional and does meet overnight standards. Price seemed OK
