Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Return visit to Charleston we always like to visit that charming city and we enjoy staying at this property April 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newly renovated, clean. Great staff This hotel is still being renovated, they ask for your patience while they do so, we saw no sign of a mess anywhere. Our room was really nice and clean, the staff were great, very friendly. Breakfast was a buffet, lots of choices hot and cold. April 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I pardoned the construction dust and had a great stay. Had a great stay for the USS Conserver (ARS 39) Reunion in Downtown Charleston - stayed in Summerville and saved money. It's right on Interstate 26. Remodeling was in full swing in the room hallways but did not interfere with the enjoyment of and rest in my room. Nice breakfast spread in the morning gets the day started off on the right foot. The staff was top notch and responsive. I'd certainly consider staying again the next time I find myself in Summerville/Charleston, SC. My wife is a smoker and was able to get a smoking room - that scores points for her... thanks. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay in a quiet room The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. There was a good selection of TV options and a good internet connection. Met someone for breakfast elsewhere so no comment on the service or food. April 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Night Hotel was under "renovation" and was in disrepair. The rooms stunk of some "deodorizer/cover-up" from the cigarettes that were apparently smoked in the room hours before I got there. No orange juice for breakfast. No upgrades for Platinum Member. Hotel was full-priced and the most expensive one in Summerville. I'd rather drive an hour to a different hotel than stay here again. April 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty and noisy I was in town for 2 nights for my uncle's funeral. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff was pleasant and got me checked in quickly. I booked a King room - the bed was as expected, but there were what appeared to be make-up stains on the pillow cases and comforter. I didn't use those items. The fridge was a decent size, and the TV had a good selection of channels. Behind some of the furniture the floors were very dirty. There was a clip on air freshener on the AC unit that I had set to 62 just to get the room cool enough to be comfortable. The room just looked tired. There was a lot of noise during the day due to construction, and the common spaces were tired and worn out. Family members of mine who were on the 3rd and 4th floors had to request to be moved due to construction debris in their rooms. Old hotel with some fresh paint. Would not stay here again. Even the funeral rate was about double of what I would have expected to pay for a room of this quality. April 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again I was in town for the funeral of my brother. Other family members booked as well. We were told there were many events going on that weekend. Other hotels were booked. We were able to get the six rooms needed for our family so we decided to stay at Holiday Inn Express. There was construction going on, that was not mentioned to us when we booked. the rooms, it was loud and dirty. I don't think the floor behind the bathroom door was mopped in months! The beds were small and uncomfortable. The linens did appear clean. The breakfast area was average and the lady working there was very pleasant. The sofa in the adjoining area was stained and dirty. If this was not an emergency situation I NEVER would have stayed there! April 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient for Charleston activities The clerks gave their opinions on most important things to see in Charleston for only a 2 day visit. There is a Tuesday night social hour with tasty treats. April 24, 2015
