I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Century City because I flew in for a very quick interview. The hotel is perfectly located for Los Angeles. I was greeted by the General Manager Richard who actually had a welcome bag of water and snacks and a greeting card wishing me luck in my interview. For him to go out of his way like that was great. This was only the start of how amazing the employees are here. They took the time to talk to me, make sure I went to the best restaurant for dinner, there was a great little complimentary breakfast in the morning and the valet were so friendly which is very refreshing. Rooms were clean and bed extremely comfy. Had a really good nights sleep and left for my interview feeling good. I can't wait to come back.

I travel for work and have stayed at a lot of hotels... many, many Holiday Inn Express properties. This is BY FAR the worst.
-Problems with my reservation upon check-in.
-I'm a Spire Elite member and was told upon check-in that I was given a room upgrade. However, the original room that I was given was right next to the elevator, dark and dingy and smelled of smoke. When I asked for another room, the next room was clean, bright, and had completely upgraded furnishings. Thanks for the Spire Elite welcome.
-Problems with my bill upon check-out. The manager is rude.
-There are practically no common areas in this hotel. The lobby is small and cramped.
-There is no work-out room, pool, hot tub, or no pass any local gym although there are many fitness centers in the area.
-The hallways smell musty.
-No real effort was made to remedy any of the issues.
-The front desk staff is friendly and tries to help.
-Although the breakfast room is minuscule, the staff is very friendly and the selection is good.
-Valet parking is fast and efficient.
They advertise this as a boutique hotel. It is not! I checked out and checked into a beautiful brand hotel across the street with all the amenities for a lower rate and a wonderful stay!

Great experience at the Holiday Inn Express. While non-descript from the outside, I was placed in a room with great character (corner room with two floors with a guest suite, and a spiral staircase). But above all it was the staff that made the visit. Very friendly and accommodating.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Arturo64 Clean, comfortable beds and good, free breakfast
The Holiday Inn Express Century City is a good value. One drawback to me was the lack of any nearby bus line in case I did not want to walk 15 minute walk to my temporary work location.

LO UNICO QUE NO ME GUSTO ES QUE NO EXISTEN CAJAS DE SEGURIDAD DENTRO DE LA HABITACION.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rico99USA Very small breakfast area
The hotel has a very very small breakfast area that is quite disappointing. None of the phones in my room were working. But other than that it is your typical HIE, with very comfortable bed and pillows.

The staff is very friendly and the highlight of the hotel.
Rooms are outdated and feel a bit worn. There is no way to buy snacks/drinks unless you have change or dollar bills as there are only 2 vending machines in the hotel.
The bed/pillows were comfortable though, so that's a good thing.

I've stayed at least once a year over the past three years at this location and have always found no matter who is on-staff to be professional and friendly. Every time I am in need of assistance, be it a power strip or finding a box to ship things in, they always have a solution for me.
