Front staff is friendly, but the room in which we stayed left much to be desired. I honestly don't think the rooms would meet a corporate standard. The suite we stayed in had used tissues sitting atop the dispenser, mildew next to the tub, the tub itself was chipped, and I'm not sure if it was a coffee or blood stain on the wall.
Additionally, both the front door and bathroom doors need to be adjusted. They required a decent amount of force to close, the bathroom sink was slow to drain, but luckily we were able to use the wet bar sink as a back up.
I notified the front desk the morning after our stay and asked for the manager to give me a call. He was to arrive 30 minutes or so after my request was made. I never got a call.
Although the hotel can't really control what other people do, we did notice another guest with his son (probably 8 years old or so) in the pool. The man stripped his boy naked and rubbed him down with sun screen. Not sure why he needed to strip his boy naked, but my daughter of the same age didn't need to see that.
Holiday Inn Express is my hotel of choice, however I will not be staying in this particular hotel again.

In the past, I have always stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and have had excellent experiences but this was not the case. There were several issues with the room like the bathtub leaked all over the bathroom floor, missing wall fixtures, and outlets in the wall. I brought this up to management and they sound totally surprised but did nothing to so that they were sorry. I will use Holiday Inn Express again but not at this location.

We needed a room for a short time and selected Holiday Inn because of the name. When we got in the room we discovered lighting in the entryway was out. Then after we returned, we found our door ajar. We discovered it happened after the maid left. Nothing was missing so we didn't say anything to management.
