Our room was very clean and the staff were all so nice and helpful. Only downfall was the pool area was closed because of COVID. The restaurant served awesome drinks and great food. Town was a bit of a walk but it wasn't that far out. They do have a shuttle that picks up and drops off all day long.

Our stay was just okay. We had spiders and actual spider webs ); the room had a weird smell . The weather strip was missing on both both doors so bugs were in n out and the employees seemed to gather in the corner where our room was and could hear there convo every morning

Not a restful experience

Checked in for a one-night stay in Avalon. Hotel needs some attention/maintenance and lots of trash left out for hours in front of guest rooms. Very loud, especially weekend evenings, with parties well past the 10PM quiet time. TV did not work and the beds were not very comfortable.

It had the potential for a great experience, but was disappointing.

This hotel could be a jewel if it were properly managed. The hillside setting is stunning and away from the crowds and noise of town, yet still within walking distance of the beaches, restaurants and shops.
Our biggest disappointments were the encounters with the front office staff. The reception was cold, with minimal eye contact and no attempt at friendliness. Perhaps the staff is overloaded or improperly trained, but it wouldn't have been that difficult to make a good first impression on arriving guests. Other encounters with the front desk staff were equally as discouraging. They just didn't seem to care.
The restaurant staff was attentive and kind. The food was fine but we do recommend avoiding the chili cheese nachos!
We enjoyed the in-room hot tub and the quiet, private area of our room location.
The hotel shuttle to and from town was a nice amenity and the drivers were friendly and welcoming.
The lobby location is baffling. It looks and feels like a service entrance and would be difficult to find if it weren't for the help of the shuttle driver. The lobby is very small and the chairs were really uncomfortable - sadly, a reflection of the whole vibe of the lobby.
All in all, we'd like to have come back, but it's looking doubtful.

Nice setting, expensive for what you get

The setting was awesome, pool and spa were shut down which is understandable with covid, however we stayed multiple nights and room cleaning was also not offered which other hotels are still offering. Along with that no fresh towels or coffee were brought.
Main issue was beds and bedding were not comfortable at all, noise level from the courtyard was loud as well. Cost was over 300 per night so we expected a better experience

We had a fantastic stay. The room was squeaky clean the bed was really comfortable the restaurant The Cove just recently bought by Ivan was fantastic food and drinks and amazing service.

Horrible experience

1st at arrival , the manager at the counter was rude , then we get to our rooms the rooms are smelly the carpet is super dirty the AC had a musty smell and there is a bleach smell around the room . The sheets and blankets had stains . We had two rooms and both were smelly the second room had a broken lock to the balcony and refused to fix it at night time . The entrance was delay by and the restaurant food was nasty . The staff is rude . Coffee machine didn’t work . TV didn’t work and internet didn’t work . The answer was “mama there is nothing we can do and manager cannot respond because she’s at home sleeping and then we were told she was having dinner and she said she will charge us half the price and we can leave the next day “ . They offered us another room after we complained but we were so tired and couldn’t even walk to the other side of the hotel with all our baggage . Over all the experience was zero and we ended up leaving the next day instead of two day stay . Ruined our vacation .

En general es un Lugar muy bonito, Área tranquila, camas cómodas y lo mejor que a la hora de nuestra llegada nos permitieron hacer check in temprano poque la habitación ya estaba disponible. El hotel está un poco alejado del centro pero ellos ofrecen el servicio de transporte gratis. Una de las cosas que no nos agradó mucho fue el echo de qué hay hormigas en los cuartos y aunque por el lugar es muy común si es un poco molestoso que hayan hormigas por todos lados la verdad, pero en general Es Un lugar muy bonito

The hotel was in a nice quiet secluded location. Unfortunately the customer service at the hotel was not great. The staff was rude and did not acknowledge me or any of the guests in my group. It happened more than once during my stay. We went to the hotel restaurant and walked in and sat at the table and the lady there never came out to greet us or take our order. We had to go and say excuse me we want to order. She just said I thought you wanted to sit there. Never did she acknowledge us or ask if we wanted to order. Another similar experience happened with the lobby staff. I went to the lobby because my card was not working for the room door. I was standing on the designated line COVID spot marker for 6ft apart waiting because the staff was on the phone. She made eye contact with me after finishing her call. She never greeted me or said anything like I can help you now. At that moment a man walks straight to the counter. She checks him in and gives him his dry cleaning. She is super friendly to them. After they leave I go straight up to the counter since I don’t assume she will call on me. We let her know that we were waiting in line and that she took the other people first. We were upset because we had waited a few minutes. The staff apologized and she said that she thought we just wanted to stand in the middle of the lobby. The room was also not very clean. Overall the customer service and communication was lacking. A majority of the staff just assumed and judged. It’s unfortunate because we are there at the hotel taking a risk during these difficult times giving our business and helping the local community to be treated badly. They never greeted their customers or asked to be helpful. We paid a lot during our stay and it was not worth the quality of the hotel.

First inside side you didn’t mention time for check in. We reached early and it was so hot . Your receptionist was so impolite and she didn’t care about us. Looks she was ready to fight with guests. I requested for room in high level but we were in basement. Rooms was so dark. There was no any coffee or any water to making . My expectation from resort was more.
