We arrive on Friday May 13th to a Oceanview Room in which we requested. We noticed at the Tiki Hut directly below our room there was loud music, but at 3:30pm in the afternoon we were ok with it. After going out for the night When we arrived back to our room around 9pm. The music was still playing at 12 midnight and it sounded like they were in our room because it was so loud! When I made the reservations I paid an extra per night for a room with Ocean view and they didn't mention the loud band that played just below our room every night! At 3 am the next morning there was loud knocking on the door two different times within a 10 min. period, I got up to look who was there and there was a couple with bags on their shoulders trying to get into our room. They also were using a key the front desk person gave them.! Fortunately I had put the extra bolts on our door or they would've walked into our room at 3 am in the morning!! When I called the next morning the front desk person said that she showed a no show in our room and sent these people to our room. We paid for our room back in April for the full amount.!!!!
This is unacceptable from a resort , not to mention potentially harmful for us who were in the room, being woken up at 3 am in the morning, not to mention we had just a few hours earlier managed to get to sleep because the band below our room was play too loud and too long.. Warning....Don't waste your money and stay at this motel.
My take on it, not managed well, and the front desk doesn't have good leadership to know how to compensate the customer when something like this happens!

The Beach theme was carried throughout the hotel and room. Very creative. Comfortable bed, and clean bath and updated shower. Great stay. Only trouble was noisy guests from the elevator area

I could not use my points for this hotel. Our bathroom was dirty and had black mold above the shower, and there was a hole punched in the wall in our room. Also, the free drink coupon given to me for my loyalty as a Platinum member was only good for one of three cheap domestic beers or one of three wines. It made IHG look extremely cheap.
