I wouldn't recommend to stay at this hotel. I was told that my room would be high enough to not hear any noise from the trucks or surrounding buildings. This wasn't true - the delivery trucks started coming at 6am to 6pm and the noise from the surrounding air conditioners ran 24/7 so we couldn't sit on the balcony. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel

Rooms are fine. Pool area could be better. Beds very small and always long queues for the lift.
Good location and staff friendly

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Anza Clean, well appointed and excellent service.
Only disappointment was having no dining amenities available, due to renovations. Needed to have a room service for breakfast, as some tours booked had very early starts.

My wife and i stayed here to celebrate out 40th. The staff was GREAT. The room was GREAT. The location is GREAT. i cannot find a single thing that we did not like during our stay. James the concierge set us up with two great packages the luau and Arizona, both were fantastic. The beds were very comfortable and the ocean view was really fantastic. The hotel manager sent a a very nice surprise to help us celebrate. As a Platinum Elite we stay at many IHG properties and this one met every expectation and beyond. Thank You to the entire staff from the bellmen to check in to housekeeping.

The hotels location is perfect to the beach and shopping. Can't wait to return and try the new restaurant!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lone Wolf27 Great staff, central location
If you are here for business, you might be disappointed. The area is crowded, the rooms don't have enough electrical outlet, and the elevators are slow, sometimes skip floors and generally not all operate at the same time so the wait can be long. If for pleasure, the hotel is centrally located in Waikiki and close to shopping, beaches and restaurants. the area is elbow-to-elbow with tourists most of whom either have their noses stuck in there portable devices oblivious to the existence of anybody else.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kimo747 Excellent, welcoming staff, fantastic central Waikiki location
We had a great time staying here at the Waikiki Beachcomber Resort Hotel. Steps to everything, shopping, restaurants, Waikiki Beach is right across Kalakaua avenue. Brand new high end shopping center about to be completed right next door, Macy*s, Saks Fifth Avenue, etc.
Friendly, inviting staff made staying at this property a pleasure. Thank you!

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Beachcomber several times in the last couple of years and it keeps improving. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the hotel is always clean and comfortable.
They have recently added an open airy coffee shop just off the lobby by the pool.
I am also pleased that the Jimmy Buffet restaurant has closed and they plan to open a Maui Brewing Co. restaurant in its place. A welcome improvement.
Overall, great place to stay. I'll be back.
