This stay was ok in comparisons to my other stays at that resort, I have had far better stays here, the food was ok Jamaica night was the best menu options. The breakfast was always good, and the Jerk Hut was always consistent with good food. The lady that cleaned our room 6109 was a GEM she did a fantastic job, thank you Karen! Overall, the food could have been better, but the staff were helpful and friendly. we had a good time.

Do not stay here if you want to sleep or eat! Food is horrible. No hot water. you must shower outside. no noise control at night. I do not recommend this hotel. The vista's are gorgeous but you starve.

Regardless as a paying customer I excepted a few basic requests to be met due to my disability.
I have asked for a room with a bathtub. 1, I can not stand, so I prefer to slide in the bathtub from my walker or cane. 2, after a long international flight, I like to soak in the bathtub, in fact I bought items from the “Body shop “at Hollywood International airport Florida. For that specific reason. 3. Soaking in the tub is self-care, I get to take the weight off my feet
Consequently, a room with a bathtub is paramount. The first night of my stay, room 4148 had only cold water. After three flight delays, I needed a bath. First the water was at a drizzle and the water was cold. Move to 1048 the bathroom is not operatable, then to room 1040 cold water.

I always get a very nice welcome like home away but still home when your there when everyone ask me where is good to stay in Montego I said try out holiday inn

Overall the best I’ve been staying at this hotel for over 10 visit. I go with my friends and my family and we always enjoy the hotel. The spa is so relaxing and everyone is so professional. One year we got pictures taken the photographer on staff Saskia is the best with great customer service.
Big up to the jerk center crew and the seafood restaurant staff

It started badly. We had a delayed flight and then had to wait 2 hours before we could get a room. Both rooms had problems (broken main light switch, dirty unchanged beds and broken furniture and air conditioning unit). We were unable to get dinner when we arrived and the duty manager D.L said to wait for someone to come and room to clean up the condensation and no one came. In our first night we had to change our beds ourselves.
Our TV did not work the whole duration. We were suppose to have complimentary drinks in our room (in the fridge) the manager said they do not do this however to compensate fellow guests he paid the surcharge for them to dine at the seafood restaurant. D. L advised me that here was no guarantee of a fridge in my room. Our fridge was rusty and wobbly. The tv had a broken corner the chest of drawers drawer had splintered wood. The alarm clock face was broken. The bathroom sink didn’t have a plug hole and the air vent had rusty water leaking from it. D. L advised the only thing wrong with the room was the broken shower curtain.
The balcony door handle was broken. One of our rooms only had 2 hangers.
In the first night the beds were not changed from who ever was in the room before us and there were no towels.
The sofa had numerous large stains on it, we had to request a bed sheet to cover it.
The front desk staff were incredibly rude.
WiFi rarely worked and regularly had to go to the front lobby of the hotel to find a signal.
We expected some wear and tear, but not unsafe light switches and dirty beds. Outside of our room the fire extinguisher glass door was broken and the broken glass remained for the entire stay.
The main pool had broken and uneven floor which cut my grandchildren’s feet and the nurse didn’t record the incident in the accident book.
The restaurant and bar staff are very warm and nice and hard working. The entertainment each night was lovely. The maids were lovely but overworked as were the maintenance men. Ofelia in guest relations was lovely. It is a shame on arrival the first impression from the front desk (V) was so awful! Once some of our issues were resolved (one room change, provided with bedding so we could change our beds ourselves; towels delivered so we could mop up the condensation in our rooms; main light switch fixed so exposed live wiring could be shielded and covered, and faucet in sink fixed), we were more comfortable. It was exhausting to have to keep requesting a bath mat or a change of towel (when the ones that were needed to be replaced were placed in the bath not replaced (at one point we were left with only one towel and several times without a bath mat for the floor).
This is the oldest hotel on the island and it seems some rooms are in need of urgent repairs and the main pool especially in need of repair. It was disappointing to not have use of the tv for the entire holiday and to also suffer WiFi issues in the rooms.

Overcharged me, put me in a regular room and not the ocean view room originally booked. House keeping didn’t bring towels requested because the room had none to start with. The previous guests clothes were left in the room in plain sight. A/c worked great, food and Buffett staff were good. Like the stores as well

The food was good. There was mix of Jamaican and foreign cuisines. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but adjoining rooms need sound proofing.
