Met my expectations
By Terry London
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and the standard has always been very high. The location is ideal for the Shanghai Metro system meaning that transport to the central area of [More] the city is both fast and inexpensive. [Less]
Another stay on business trip

This stay was different from the ones I experienced at this hotel before! The room was in a worn out condition, the bathroom needs renovation urgently, overall the value for the price was not [More] sufficient. When leaving my request on extension for stay due to a 3 hours delay of my flight was met by the receptionist in a very unprofessional and unfriendly way, not willing to meet my requirement. I know they can do better and they have shown me they can! Overall: This stay did not meet my expectations, but hopefully the next one will! [Less]

Nice hotel for short stay

The room cleanliness is good. There is a nearby shopping mall with lots of restaurants for you. Even the subway station is a walking distance o [Less]
Great location, overall impression of the hotel
By KJL0412
This hotel does not look like a Holiday Express at first, almost like Holiday Inn (original). So I'd say it exceeded my expectation coz I was expecting the Express standard. Everything was great [More] from the moment I walked into the hotel, the front desk, lighting everything. Room is great too. I did not ask for a smoking room at first and they changed it for me quickly. The only drawback was the food. But I knew it was Express level and not the normal Holiday Inn so I'd say they have passed that standard but I wish they could provide us with more choices. They even have bicycles for rent. It's also 10 mins from the nearest Tubes/Underground/Metro station, so I can get to Puxi in no time. [Less]
Comfortable bed and great service
By KevinTX
Very nice and comfortable for leisure or business stay. Short walking distance to subway station. Friendly staff. [Less]
A little off the Bund
By breaded beast
Great hotel, not the cheapest, but the proximity to Yuyuan garden and the garden mostly negate this. It does not have the old style elegance of the Peace Hotel but nor is it sterile like many modern [More] hotels. Loved the little touches both in the common areas and the room itself. Make sure you use the pool and you will forget about the cost. [Less]
Gorgeous hotel

Our stay at the hotel was great from the moment we checked in. The suite we had was lovely and the views were amazing. [Less]
