From ancient temples to recently excavated ruins, the city of Rome is a delectable feast for all lovers of history, philosophy and human progress. With world-class art that spans the ages, bustling piazzas, an excess of excellent shopping opportunities and numerous high-tech companies, Rome has something to offer for just about every kind of visitor. Make the most of your trip to this historic city when you book into one of our boutique Rome hotels.

As the former seat of the Roman Empire and the centuries long centre of Catholic culture, Rome boasts more historic and cultural landmarks than you can possibly visit in one trip. Envision the gladiators charging across the Colosseum. Imagine senators orating in the Roman Forum and emperors meandering across Palatine Hill. Gasp at the sheer perfection of the circular opening atop the ancient Pantheon. Ogle the vast collection housed in the Vatican Museum, as well as Michelangelo's penultimate paintings in the Sistine Chapel. Marvel at the art and architecture on display at any one of the city's 900 churches, including the iconic St. Peter's Basilica, which also provides excellent views from its dome. Toss a few coins into the Trevi Fountain for good luck, explore the Planetarium, or tour the pristine Parliament Building. Whatever kind of exploration you fancy, Rome is sure to satisfy.

While public transport is excellent, Rome is a highly walkable city, with something to discover around every corner. If you're looking for a good dose of flora and fauna, climb the hill up to Villa Borghese, which provides ample green spaces, segway rides, bike rentals and an admirable art gallery. Alternatively, head to the shops tucked into the back alleys for a little retail therapy. Via del Corso, via Condotti and via Cola di Rienzo are all excellent options for high-end wares, while Piazza Navona is a must for touristy kitsch and fresh produce. The Euroma2 is another option for more of an American-style shopping experience.

After all of that activity, your stomach is bound to be rumbling. Head to the Trastevere neighbourhood for hip restaurants, cafes and bars; to the Jewish quarter for a uniquely Roman spin on traditional treats; or to any number of tucked away pizza joints, where the crusts are thin and the toppings are lip-licking good. Afterwards, traditional gelato is a must, with many family shops tucked into unexpected places.

Once the lights go down, indulge in some top-notch house wine or cocktails in the Testaccio neighbourhood, where there's always live music on. The San Lorenzo district, which is near the university, draws a younger crowd, while there are some great pubs near the railway station. The Auditorium and the Parco della Musica both curate excellent musical guests, whilst the Teatro dell'Opera is sure to impress with its world-class performances.

Discover all that this distinctly modern ancient gem has to offer with a stay in a boutique hotel in Rome, where style and comfort come first. With unbeatable amenities and an attentive staff, you'll always feel rested, relaxed and ready to take on all of this amazing city's adventures.

The only draw back to the shuttle service is that it is not a 24 hour service. However the shuttle driver was great! [Less]

Comfortable Stay
By Italy Traveller
Stayed several nights here. Selected this hotel because of easy access to hotel from airport, free parking, access to public transportation and by the recommendation of a friend. Airport is a [More] straight shot down the road with a gas station in between making filling up easy. Parking was excellent other than parking spots are somewhat small but above average for Italy. Public transportation is accessible via the train station which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. (A nice handout would have been helpful on how to get to the station and procedures for buying tickets). Tickets are sold in the gift shop and cost 1.50 Euro and good for 100 minutes. They transfer to all transportation services including train, metro, trams and busses. We took the train to Ostiense, then the metro from Piramide to Termini where you can take another Metro to other parts of the city. We also tried the train to Tram 8 but found there was more walking with that. I recommend using the Metro, it's clearer even though there is an extra stop. We arrived late on the first night (about 10pm) and were still able to be served in the restaurant--very good. Breakfasts were always very good with an excellent variety. [Less]
Very nice hotel
By Shelly
No complaints to speak of, everything was nice, the room was clean. The bathtub could’ve been cleaned a little better and the bartender was frustrated with the language barrier I felt but all in all [More] it was a good place to stay. Would go back. [Less]
Accidental Wes Anderson
By Simon
Hotel is out of town, but easily accessible by public transport. Inside, the styling seems quite dated, with a ‘50s feel to it- not sure if that’s deliberate, but the bar area in the lobby isn’t [More] comfortable as a result. Most Holiday Inns seem better in this respect. Maybe it’s because it’s been set up to cater for coachloads of American tourists and school/college visits- saw lots of both of these groups even in February. Hotel was fine, keeping to the usual quality standards expected of the brand. [Less]

Beautiful hotel and great Service

Beautiful hotel for our trip to Rome, the location was good only a 10-15 taxi ride into town. The spa was great after sight seeing all day. My only complaint would be that the Jacuzzi was cold. The [More] Breakfast was very nice and staff was wonderful. [Less]
