I recently had the tremendous pleasure of staying here for almost an entire week while on business. I can assure you that there is nothing "express" about this place.
The location is terrific. It
is right downtown Pensacola & within walking distance of all the history & culture of that amazing city, as well as some of the best restaurants I have come across in all of Florida.
The room itself was much more spacious than I had considered an "express" room to be. I never felt cramped once during the week. Nice TV with plenty of conveniently placed power options for laptop, phone charging, etc., along with all of the necessary room amenities, including coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator. Plenty of closet & drawer space along with iron & board. The beds & pillows are far superior to many, many others in comparably priced hotels. The bathroom was large, as well, & nicely designed with a great shower. The room was absolutely spotless when I arrived & remained that way throughout the entire week.
The breakfast buffet is anything but express. It is full of eggs, omelets, meats (including turkey meats), breads, rolls, pancakes, cereals...& a pan never sat empty. There's always another full one taking its place.
Most of the time I spent at the hotel was spent in my room. I didn't get down to the weight room or other facilities within the hotel. However, based on what I know of the rest of my experience there, I would have to guess they are quite nice, as well.
And, last but certainly not in any way least, their staff really put the proverbial icing on this cake. They are the ones who really shine at this place. All of the people working those breakfast buffets get a shout out! As well as those who kept my room spotless throughout the week! Aliyah, Dominique, Cornelius, Sarah, Natasha(?) you really helped make my whole week an incredible, amazing pleasure! You folks are the best!
You can be certain I will be staying here again & again when visiting Pensacola. This is an amazingly nice hotel with one of the best staffs I've ever been around. There's really no other reason to stay anywhere else.
