Hidden Gem in the Asheville area
Had no idea this property existed but what a treasure. Minutes from Asheville and Biltmore area. Wonderful sites, restaurants, etc. The place was super clean and as soon as I walked in a smiling face[More] behind the desk greeted me. Her name is Shanteal and trust me this is the person I want to always be greeting me when I am checking....she is AWESOME!!

Nice Rooms and Lovely Decor inside the hotel
While the outside of the hotel is a bit shaggy, the inside is lovely. However, the photos and brochure promise more services than are actually available. For example there is a tiny pool, when a[More] large pool with lap lanes, etc is advertised/promoted as well as a spa. The fitness room was sparse as well.[Less]
Just what we needed
By Mississippi Artist
We were traveling with our two large dogs. I had some business I needed to do in
Asheville after a family reunion in another part of the state. My wife had gotten injured and so mobility was[More] limited for her, but the Crown Plaza put us in a room with a handicap bathroom. It happened to back up to the mountain biking trails which I was able to run on and take the pups on for their walks. The food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious. The front desk was incredibly helpful. I was concerned about not being very central but it ended up not being a problem at all and parking was very convenient to our room, which wouldn't have been an option in a hotel closer to where I needed to work.[Less]
A peasant setting - very quiet - just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville. Very convenient
We loved the Crowne Plaza and plan to return for another mini-vacation. It was in a great setting with great walking trails and close to Asheville and other communities of interest to us. We found it[More] to be a good deal.[Less]
