Interesting boutique hotel, came in with a colleague for a work trip--our first time in St. Pete's as we just opened new offices nearby. To be clear, staff on duty, Christian and Brian, were very friendly and on the surface the hotel looks nice but several problems along the way mean likely not our partner for future stays. 1. Biggest issue. There was a poop in the toilet upon check in. Gross. Walked in, walked out, got another room. 2. Next room was ok, but lights were unplugged where it looked like cleaning staff plugged in vacuums. Left me crawling to reach and replug 3. Big dark long hair on the "clean" hanging towels. Too tired to complain, better than poop in toilet. Just didn't shower. 4. Iron was dirty and barely worked. Turned on/off randomly. 5. colleague's room toilet seat broken...just came right off when he lifted it. With those items top of mind, it seemed everywhere we looked we saw more signs not well cleaned or maintained. Just a bad experience when all you want is a clean pillow. Very disappointing as a platinum member--expect more from the brand. 15. April 2015
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Overpriced and housekeeping was remiss My 5 nite stay was for business conference. I am well seasoned business traveler. Indigo hotel lacked so much of what the other nearby BIG name hotels normally provide for. Lobby entrance decor was cluttered, if there was an onsite restaurant I never saw it. There was no hotel store to procure much needed items or late nite snack. My room had cleanliness issues -accumulated debris existed upon my checking in beneath the bed, was left over from previous guests. Room faced lobby had noise issues. Room had physical defects - loose bathroom door saddle molding was loose kept tripping over, the room floor was sloped and uneven made walking a trick not to fall over or loose balance, Not enough outlets centrally located for recharging all electronic devices, i.e., cell phone computer camera, etc Room lacked in room safe!, room closet had all sorts of exposed pipes running thru it !!!! Decor was dated made it look like grandma's house. 15. April 2015

Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Make sure you get the right room We checked in on a Friday night and were given a room that was utterly ridiculous. It barely fit one person, much less two. There was no room for a comfortable chair, and the was no refrigerator or microwave - I doubt they could have fit in the room even if they were standard, which they are not (you have to ask at the front desk for a refrigerator!). To give an idea of how tiny the room was, there was exactly eight inches between the toilet and the commode for the sink. Try fitting in that. When i went down the next day, I was told at the front desk that we should have expected small rooms because after all, the Indigo was a "boutique" hotel. After that pathetic excuse, I was shown room 229 on the second floor. What a difference. The room had plenty of space, the bathroom was much bigger, there was a comfortable chair. So much for the "expect a small room when you book at a boutique hotel excuse. After we moved in, everything went great, although they could provide better towels. Before room change - 1 star After room change - 3.5 stars Advice: make sure you book room 229 8. April 2015

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Adequate at best The hotel is not awful - there are worse options that I had to consider since so many other properties were sold out during the time I stayed - but, it is barely average and I would not stay here again. Fortunately, I spent my days off site at another hotel property and nights strolling the downtown for food 30. März 2015

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by a funky but wonderful hotel... we enjoyed this hotel with its old fashioned elegance and decor. The staff made you feel at home and provided great, personal and unobtrusive service. Its in a perfect location and was a pleasant change from the chain-type hotels. The food was well prepared and unpretentious. The bar was convenient and friendly. The building and guest rooms though dated were well kept. We will look for Indigo hotels in our future travels. 24.
