Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Convenient location, but found little rest here
We chose this hotel as it was one priced on the lower end for hotel options downtown. Appreciated the location, friendly staff and free parking. However, it was far from a restful experience. The bed was hard and springy, and the sheets were either poor quality or just startched to the point that they actually made enough noise to wake us up whenever either my husband or I moved during the night. My neck and shoulders were numb every morning from the hardness of the mattress. The hotel faces the highway and the windows are not sound-proof; our sleep was also often disrupted by traffic noise. I've had better sleep experiences at 2 and 3 star hotels that cost a third of what we paid here! Other minor annoyances included bad in-room coffee and that the TV was set at an awkwardly low level to the bed.
Note: This is my second time staying at the Indigo in Asheville, and the first time I don't remember having these kinds of complaints about the bed, etc. Perhaps there are severe differences in the experience from room to room.
