Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown
Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown
Famed architect John Portman’s soaring atria and cloud-grazing glass elevators grace skyscrapers around the world, but no city boasts more of his postmodern designs than his hometown of Atlanta. Portman reimagined one of his original designs – 230 Peachtree Center – unveiling the Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown. Located in the heart of the city and connected to the AmericasMart (another Portman work), our hotel is just off I-75 and I-85, steps from the Peachtree Center MARTA station, and a short drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
From the curved, glass-and-steel staircase in our lobby to our sleek guest rooms, nods to Portman’s midcentury design merge seamlessly with the latest technology and amenities, including our business center, 24-hour grab-and-go market and 24-hour fitness center. After a day of business or sightseeing downtown, settle in for a cocktail at our circular bar, where a floating glass-and-steel canopy mirrors our grand staircase, or enjoy dinner at The Drafting Table Cocktails & Kitchen.

Neighborhoods
Explore our neighborhood.
In the 1960s, downtown Atlanta became the center of an urban architectural renaissance. From the AmericasMart convention center (connected to our hotel) to the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, our neighborhood features these soaring spaces in spades. Be at the center of downtown’s biggest draws, including the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, State Farm Arena, College Football Hall of Fame and Centennial Olympic Park. Companies such as SunTrust, Coca-Cola, Southern Company, Georgia Pacific and Deloitte consulting are also nearby.
Centennial Olympic Park is a 21-acre public park located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia owned and operated by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority. It was built by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games as part of the infrastructure improvements for the 1996 Summer Olympics. The park hosts a variety of festivals and concerts and is home to the iconic, interactive Fountain of Rings. For a fun way to see the entire city, take a ride on the SkyView Ferris Wheel, just steps away from the park.
Don’t leave Atlanta without visiting the Georgia Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere. Observe thousands of species, schedule an interaction with a penguin, watch the otters play at the River Scout exhibit, and feel rays and horseshoe crabs at the touch pool. It’s an aquatic experience unlike any other.
The College Football Hall of Fame is a must-see for any sports fan. Find your favorite team on the Helmet Wall before exploring exhibits commemorating the league’s most legendary players, memorable coaches and unforgettable plays. Test your arm and run an obstacle course at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Skill Zone, and watch the behind-the-scenes documentary “The Game of Your Life” at the Game Day Theater.
There’s no better place in the heart of Downtown Atlanta to satisfy cravings and find essentials than The Hub at Peachtree Center. Enjoy convenient food choices of nearly every variety from popular eateries like Chick-fil-A and Benihana to Au Bon Pain and Caribou Coffee, and eagerly await the arrival of exciting new spots opening as we transform The Hub. Looking for a manicure and a haircut? Or a prescription and a new pair of shoes? It’s all here and all easily accessible to the city’s major entertainment attractions.
Built in 1910, the Tabernacle was once home to the Third Baptist Church of Atlanta, led by Reverend Len G. Broughton. The historic building first became a unique music venue in 1996, when it was converted into the House of Blues for the Olympics. Though it closed after the event, it re-opened in 1998 under the name “Tabernacle” and continues to host both local and nationally touring musical acts and comedians.
Atlanta Symphony Hall in the Woodruff Arts Center is home to the acclaimed Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The group recorded its first album there in 1977, and the venue has been a significant landmark in Georgia’s performing arts scene ever since. Experience concerts with classical music, attend a play, have a night of laughs with famous comedians, or take a tour to learn more about the location’s history and productions.
The Drafting Table Cocktails & Kitchen, located inside Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown, pays homage to the architectural history and art of Peachtree Corridor. Sip classic cocktails and enjoy locally-inspired dishes as you admire the awe-inspired work of late John Portman. At The Drafting Table, our menu is designed to replicate the blueprint of your dining experience. Our food and cocktails equally function as art in motion.
Experience one of history’s most famous drinks like never before at the World of Coca-Cola. See the vault that holds the 125-year-old secret formula and view historic collectibles and art at the Pop Culture Gallery. At Bottle Works, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the bottling process and receive a free 8-ounce bottle of classic Coca-Cola. Keep it as a souvenir, because you’ll have a chance to try over 100 drinks at the Taste It! Beverage Lounge, including Beverly, the discontinued Italian aperitif.
