    Neighborhoods

    Explore our neighborhood.

The iconic Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge come together here, as if directing you to the timeless crossroads of art and culture in Brooklyn. A half century ago, our neighborhood was home to a thriving performance art movement, where theaters, opera houses and concert halls sprang up to showcase an unconventional, cutting-edge artistic crusade. Among them, Gypsy Rose Lee was the Renaissance woman behind “February House,” opened as a boarding house in the early 1940s for writers, poets and performers to inhabit as a bohemian enclave. Today, all these years later, an everyday artistic movement is still very much alive here, beckoning.

    Testimonials

    • Very happy with my recent stay at the Hotel Indigo, Brooklyn, NY. Hotel location was ideal with major subway station less than 2 blocks away. Staff were extremily friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Guest room was on the smaller side which was expected due to city location but very clean with excellent lighting (very large window) and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was well light, clean and efficient. Room was quiet and never heard the neighbors around us, even though the hotel was fully booked during our stay. Parking was convienent and safe. VERY happy with my stay and will certainly return!
