"Excellent hotel with great views of the Huangpu River"
It was my first stay at the Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund. I was warmly received at the front desk by Ms Star Lu who, upon realising that it was the first time I was staying with Indigo, gave me[More]
a quick introduction to the hotel. She was vivacious and enthusiastic and very courteous. I left the front desk feeling like I was a old friend.
The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable, with fantastic views of the Huangpu River, the Bund and the Pudong commercial district. The flowing river, glittering lights outside and the nice cosy hotel room combined to give a romantic setting. My wife, who was with me, told me that she felt that we were on a honeymoon!
We went to have our dinner at the hotel's Char Grill and Bar. The restaurant is fantastic - good food, excellent service and lovely ambience. We stayed till it was close to 11.00 p.m and none of the service staff seemed to one to hurry us. Will definitely be back to this restaurant again whenever I am in Shanghai,
Overall, the thumbs up to Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund. Will be back for more stays. [Less]
