In an era when many hotels have forgotten they are in the hospitality industry, Hotel Indigo at the Galleria gets it right.
From the time I called for reservations, extending to the front desk experience and throughout my stay, I was treated professionally and with a personal interaction that showed respect for my preferences and needs.
At Hotel Indigo, I did not find 5-star room rates further inflated by additional ("resort") fees. What I DID find included well-presented free amenities such as fast wi-fi, weekday newspaper, good TV channels, room refrigerator, great restaurants nearby, comfortable setting, a working business center and a well-equipped fitness center. Most of all, I found a well-trained professional staff who seemed to truly enjoy working there and being able to make guests comfortable.
During my stay, Houston suffered massive flash floods, but the property remained safe and comfortable. Even though some of the staff had been unable to leave to go home and were surely tired and concerned for their own homes, everything ran smoothly. They had calm answers and help for stranded guests, and went out of their way to make it seem like just another day with excellent service.
Call it a gem, call it a find, call it a treasure. I would be happy to call it all those things on this trip, and any in the future.

I hosted a bridal shower for my niece here and stayed in the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy enough for three women. The whole staff from the front desk to sales to servers were exceptional. Everyone I dealt with was beyond helpful and friendly. The funky design of the hotel was so fun and colorful. I loved it!!! I will be back!

We loved our stay at Hotel Indigo. I am a super light sleeper but our bed was so comfortable; I slept great during our stay. Also, we had a problem using the business center and Kia was the only staff person up front. She juggled incoming patrons plus our needs for the business center and made sure we got what we needed. She was the best demonstration of customer service and we really appreciated her allowing us a later check-out time!
