Neighborhoods
Explore Our Neighborhood
Our location on the site of a former train depot on Santa Fe Square puts you at the crossroads of city's downtown cultural and dining scene. The Blue Dome District takes its name from an old Gulf Oil station and reflects Tulsa's place in the early 20th century as the "Oil Capital of the World." Today, a series of industry buildings dating from that era have been transformed into a happening neighborhood filled with restaurants, bars, music clubs and boutiques.
The Woody Guthrie Museum celebrates the life and legacy of the American folk music legend and Oklahoma native son Woody Guthrie. The singer-songwriter is best known for songs like "This Land Is Your Land" that celebrate America's beauty and the common man.
The Tulsa Performing Arts Center is home to three of the city's major groups — Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, Tulsa Ballet and Tulsa Opera. The PAC also hosts the Celebrity Attractions' Broadway series and brings in nationally known authors and other public figures for its Town Hall speaker series.
Calling all sports fans! ONEOK Field is home to the Tulsa Drillers, the Double-A affiliate for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Tulsa Roughnecks FC (USL), a member of the United States Soccer league. Both teams enjoy enthusiastic local support, offering a great way to connect with Tulsa spirit.
The Center of the Universe is a local landmark on a pedestrian bridge on which you can create an echo effect by standing in the middle of the circle of brick pavers and making any type of sound. The sound also will reverberate if you stand near the circle and speak to someone across it.
The 19,000-plus seat BOK Center is the home of East Coast Hockey League's Tulsa Oilers, but is best known for as the venue for top performing acts, like Elton John, Kevin Hart and Ke$ha. (That's why locals like to say, "Rock the BOK.")
Cain's Ballroom, opened since 1924, is considered the “Carnegie Hall of Swing Music." With a spring-loaded maple dance floor, a disco ball, full-service bars and a barbecue joint, the venue hosts a range of rock and pop acts, as well as events celebrating swing music.
Juniper is known for craft cocktails and farm-to-table fare, including seasonal five-course tasting menus with sommelier-paired wines. The downtown location features rustic brick columns and art commissioned from local artists.
The James E. McNellie's Public House — just McNellie's to locals — is a go-to spot for beer from around the world. Modeled after pubs the owner visited while studying in Ireland, the watering hole offers more than 350 beers and a menu of pub classics.
International chain Jinya Ramen Bar serves the real deal when it comes to Japanese-style noodle soup. The restaurant slow-simmers its stocks, ages its noodles even offeres refills on noodles. Views of the semi-open kitchen make you feel like you're a part of the meticulous process.
The lengthy list of mezcal and tequila at El Guapo's Cantina makes for some of the best margaritas and other South of the Border-style cocktails in Tulsa. The colorful restaurant is also known for its menu of Tex-Mex and Mexican dishes, like its queso, sweet potato chorizo tacos and sopapillas.
