I went to Frisco with my grandson and we stayed at Candlewood for two weeks and we have a very good time and a excellent experience being at the Candlewood.
Easy walking distance to quite a few things

I arrived about an hour early before check in was available. Most hotels I have stayed at allows for early check in. The lady at the front desk gave some attitude when I asked if I could check in early. Her only answer was “check-in starts at 3.” I couldn’t hear her and asked to repeat herself and she said the same thing but with more of an attitude. I thanked her and asked if I could sit and wait. She did not have a problem with this. A couple of other customers showed up and asked the same thing. She said the same thing to them.
About 30 mins later, she started to check people in. When I tea my turn, I asked her how she was doing and she said fine. And I apologized for checking in early, which is something I don’t think she liked doing or there is a policy at that hotel.
I went up to my room on the 4th floor. When the elevator opened up, the floor had a weird musty floral scent through out the hallway. It was just in the hallway. As it didn’t permeate into room, I was good.
The room was very nice. Everything was setup with easy access. The kitchenette area was great. Only one coffee cup in the cupboard, but that was ok as I was by myself.
Checking out was quick and easy. No issues there and not a lot of people in the lobby checking out.

This hotel is located is a great area for sports and business. The pool and great and lots of eaterys near by.

Stayed here for two nights and assigned an adjoining room. After entering the room I requested a non-adjoining room but was told I got the last room and hotel was full. Could not sleep both nights due to loud conversations and music late at night coming through the adjoining door. That combined with the rattling refrigerator made things worst. I requested a fresh set of towels on the second day and was asked why. Front desk staff seems irritated to get up from their chair and interested in doing only the minimum. Would not recommend.

LaStott was an amazing person and deserves a raise. He was the most genuine person and truly seemed to enjoy his job. Thank you for making our stay a good one.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It was everything I needed and expected. The parking was limited however which was a little bit of a hassle. Other than that it was a quiet and enjoyable stay.

I stayed in this hotel for the soccer tournament, it’s convenient and close. Great services from the moment you check in you feel welcome by the staff.
Disappointing experience

Room good size and accommodating. Heather the manager was very nice as well. I was there for 10 days, intended to be 12. Maybe this would have worked for a one day trip but for long term terrible experience.
Will be last IHG stay based on the below.
Asked about breakfast at checkin and was told it was not offered so I went and spent over $100 on breakfast food that night after dropping bags. Next day at 2pm got a call that they forgot to give me my breakfast vouchers...
Wife and kids finally got to make it out given my work was in driving distance. My wife found a condom wrapper on the floor behind the recliner.. Needless to say it was a very uncomfortable feeling for both of us for the various reasons.
Housekeeping did not service the room until requested. Was supposed to be at 7 days and was not.
Smoking ash tray is also right in front of the front door so if someone was smoking you had to walk through their cigarette smoke to get into the hotel. Not great for someone who quit smoking years ago.
I have advised my organization of the experience and suggested alternative options. We have a lot of people staying at IHG properties including this one and just doesn't make sense to take care of our people this way. We need them comfortable to do the job we expect.

A nice place to stay - only small issue was air was a little stale in room could smell cooking from last guest!
