I picked this place off the internet at the last minute as I lost my apartment due to it closing down without notice and I loved that it was a blessing I stayed for 3 months and never had a problem always was helpful and polite the front desk was always on top of things kept me and my kids very comfortable and this hotel was very clean at all times the price was very livable. Customer service was amazing they always went over and Beyond to make sure their residents was happy

The hotel itself felt old and shabby and the neighborhood is marginal but I needed to be close to a certain location for work. I understand it won’t be an IHG property after Dec 1.
Candlewood Suites is my favorite hotel

For the past few years I have been staying at Candlewood Suites whenever I visit Phoenix and it is the best deal around. For the comfort and general accommodations, it is high-quality resort standard for an extremely reasonable price if one is an IHG member, and this is an excellent reason to be a member. The absolute best travel accommodations at the very best price.

The hotel was dirty overall and especially the rooms, it appears to be a flop house for the homeless and addicts. The area is surrounded by pretty shady people, if you stay, lock up your belongings.
There was one woman who worked the front desk in the evening that didn't appear to be trained at all(seldom at the desk, 15 minute check in, four trips back and forth to the front desk to get keys to get into my room before she came and changed batteries in the door). Just incompetent staff and subpar accomodations...... dirty and uncomfortable. If you HAVE to stay in the Phoenix area, find something else.

Our first time staying at Candlewood Suites. Very weird locked front entrance. Elevator felt like it was going to drop or get stuck every single time we took it. Overall a dirty hotel and horrible outdated rooms. I felt like I was in a motel in a high crime area. The ONLY positive experience was the staff. They were all very nice and understood our complaints. Unfortunately, I will never stay at a Candlewood Suites again.

I was visiting family in the Phoenix area, but reserved a room so I can have a place to getaway. I'll be glad when COVID passes so I'll be comfortable enjoying the full amenities. But I did appreciate the safety measures put in place.
