After a couple of hours driving and a training for work, I was really happy to be in a warm comfortable environment! Staff was hospitable and check in and check out was effortless.

My son and I had driven about 15 hours to drop his GF off at school in Portland. We were going to drive the rest of the way to Rhode Island but decided the better part of valor at midnight was to find a room. I popped on my IHG app, was able to book this with points which saved our trip budget! The room was clean, the bed standard comfy IHG bed. My favorite part was the recliner!!! I sleep in a recliner at home due to neck issue so finding a recliner in the room at 1230 am was a god send!
We have a service dog, and were coming in very late. I sent an email to the hotel and they immediately responded they would let the front desk staff know we would be arriving super late and about our dog. I was amazed at the quick response time! The front desk was very kind and welcoming even given the late hour.
The room had a full size fridge, microwave and stovetop. Also had dishes, etc. No oven but this would be a great extended stay room!
We would definately stay here again. 10/10 recommend!

The area is very quiet. One of the bedroom had mold on the wall, and the paint was chipping.

The 2 guys that run it are awesome to work with.
The female very young and does not know customer service.
She would not be one of my employees.
Don't quote prices then charged way more.
I noticed it as soon as I checked email.

A little noisy next to 95 but everything else no complaints. Morning desk person was very helpful.

Needed a weekend away somewhere quiet but near good food, good views, and good friends. Perfect hotel for a quiet stay, slept great, close to restaurants. Had breakfast on Old Orchard Beach and wandered the Old Port - both nearby. Just book it - you won't regret it!

I have stayed several times over the past 2 years. The location is very convenient to the highway for points North and South. Convenient to S. Portland, Portland, Scarborough/Pine Point beaches. Grocery within walking distance. The facility is clean but a little worn; carpeting, furniture, comforters. The beds/pillows very comfortable! Everything in working order. Kitchen supplies adequate and anything else needed is readily available upon request; crockpot, food processor, waffle maker, wine glasses and corkscrew. The hotel and neighborhood feel safe but I feel doors to hotel should be locked except for lobby door. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This hotel is a very very good value for the price. Only complaint I have is they do not provide “smart“ TVs so that you can sign into your own streaming platforms. This is actually somewhat of a bummer for me.

I love Candlewood because not only are the rooms clean and comfortable, but the staff is always pleasant, and they allow ESAs (which is a must for me).

The service was fantastic, the room was very clean, hotel was easy to find and I had no troubles. The only problem I found was that the bed was a bit stiff and the keyboard door to enter the stairwell was unlocked the entire time.
