Clean, welcoming and good location

After a horrid experience at another hotel chain, Candlewood was a welcomed site. We were happy with our room and the helpfulness of staff. It was wonderful to be able to reserve our room same day! Our trip was short and we needed a place to crash that allowed us to recuperate before traveling 5 hours back home; we were thankful that the hotel offered a clean and cozy bed and a quiet place to rest. Hotel staff greeting us each time we came and went and the lobby was very clean.
Great service and great bed.

This is a great place to stay! It’s super clean. Full kitchen was nice with picky kids it was nice to be able to prepare food that we like for dinner and breakfast. The lady at the front desk was super nice and so helpful with everything we needed. Highly recommend!
Room needs to be updated. Ride hard and put away wet

I was disappointed in the whole experience. The hotel needs to be updated or at least serviced. Water stains on ceiling, smelled like smoke, and lots of little issues that need to be taken care of. Even upon leaving, the card key holder stated check out time was noon but when I went to check out right before noon the staff thought I was going to stay another night because I hadn’t checked out by 11:00. I’m over it.

Location was good but the A/C was not working and it is on a motion detector so at night it does not work and it was hot all night. Did have donuts which was a nice touch. Leaving the front desk was too busy counting money to acknowledge us but check in lady was good and acknowledged my status.

We enjoyed our stay at Candlewood Suites. The location, room, and staff are amazing. Maureen and Kris joyfully welcomed back each night and they're the main reason we keep returning. We love the room set-up with the fridge and storage space. Our room was cleaned on the 7th day of our stay and they did a wonderful job. We look forward to returning soon!
What is the point of a reservation?!

I arrived at 11:30p with my son only to be told that they didn’t have a room for me. I made a reservation weeks in advance and then had to go driving around in the middle of the night with my child to secure another place to stay. Just ridiculous, the. They charged me and sent me a survey!

There were 2 ants in the bathroom not the end of the world but brings cleanliness into question.
My key also stopped working late one evening and the front desk person had me running back and forth between the front desk and the gym to test the new keys she was making which took 3-4 attempts. Guests should not have to go back and forth to make sure room keys work properly, that's the staff's responsibility.
The bed felt old and overused and should probably be changed.
Not worth the grief.

I just wanted something clean and close to the airport for an early flight out. The property is fine on both those fronts. But...
The first sign of trouble was at checkin. The lady manning the front desk seemed a bit confused and kept trying to tell me I was days early and check me in under a different name/reservation.
I finally held my license up against the reservation and convinced her it wasn't me.
Then I forgot about it, crashed a few hours, and headed to the airport. My wife then asked me about a $630 hold on the credit card from the hotel. I told her about the weirdness at checkin. Since it was a hold, not a charge, we assumed it would straighten out (I had a receipt for the actual one night stay).
Three days later, hold become a charge. Now we are 5 days into calling the hotel and the pattern is the same. Someone claims to be the manager, tells us they don't see any charge, but that they will look into it and call us back - then they don't.
Ultimately I'll have to deal with it as credit card fraud, but who wants to cancel their card right before family vacation?
Save yourself the grief, stay somewhere that at least cares enough to address screwups and fraud.

Great place to stay for business trips. Comfortable bed, hotel was exceptionally clean every day. The staff at the front desk was very nice. They even had doughnuts one morning! I will be staying there for future business trips. Thank you!
