Walls/ceilings were chipped and was a bit of an eyesore. Odd layout of rooms, you can pretty much hear the other guests (especially if they have screaming children stomping around). Front desk staff were friendly.

I arrived at the Candlewood Suites and was greeted by an amazing staff! Everyone was friendly and available 24 hrs. I arrived expecting a queen suite but was upgraded to a king and the room was amazing! Very comfortable and spacious. Kitchen was complete with all the amenities I needed for my stay. I did not have to purchase dishes or coffee or tea :) The bathroom was very clean and the toiletries? OMG amazing! They use Dove products. I was on the 3rd floor and for the most part it was very quiet and peaceful. One could hear the neighbors open and close doors and on occasion some voices (but that was nothing) I dont think I have ever encountered a hotel that was sound proof. If you are in San Diego CA I highly recommend the Candlewood Suites located at Hotel Circle.

Suite-room great for a big family. Great value! Wished the room would have been cleaned more thoroughly. With better attention from the cleaning staff, the experience would be a lot better. Some of the furniture (sofa bed) definitely due for replacement.

Great staff, clean room. Would recommend. The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. There was a couple times that ants moved in.

Overall: nice property to relax and unwind. Restaurants and shopping all nearby with great selection. Parking is convenient at $10/night.

I was only here for a night for a concert. Great price, clean room by Linda and amazing greeter. Christi checked me in and I definitely will be back.

We were overcharged and front desk refused to even look at our bill to rectify it. We had to call corporate to get it properly adjusted.

The front desk staff was not there upon arrival for check inn it was almost 30 minutes before an employee returned. The lobby smelled of urine. The tv remotes did not work. One ac unit leaked the other one had bugs come out after startup. The room is very outdated and needs an upgrade, the couch bed would sag is sink even with a small child sitting upon it. The beds were hard as rock and the room just looked very old and worn out.

If you are looking to stay here based off of photos, don’t do it. This property is outdated and in dire need of repairs. Cracks in the walls and floors, uneven floors, doors don’t line up. The best bet would be to start over. Tear it down and build a new property! Stay someplace else, there are plenty of choices in this area and this one is not worth the price we paid!
The parking lot alone should have been my indication to not even check in here.

Check in was easy. Room is large and perfect for longer stays where you'd want to cook in the suite. Kitchen was stocked with working appliances, dishware and utensils.

The staff is the best thing about this hotel. From the cleaning staff to the front desk - all were wonderful. However, the room was very rundown. The door had a lot of missing paint, the coffee table was all chewed up and the phone did not have a dial tone. The worst part was all the lights come on automatically, which doesn't sound bad until the middle of the night when you are trying to go to the restroom, and you are practically knocked over with the light from EVERY room you walk NEAR. Waking anyone else in the room as well...
