TOO Bright in th eroom at night when trying to SLEEP

The hotel is a great hotel except for the window blinds in the window. The one that supposed to keep the light out will not go all the way down leaving a 3rd of the window open and allowing the area lights at night to shine in causing it very hard to sleep at night.

This hotel is currently under renovation, and will be fantastic when finished. It is in a quiet easy to find location. We had breakfast every morning. Food was good with many choices. Food was replaced as necessary. My son apprecaited the indoor pool. The hot tub was out of order and the pool area seemed a bit cold. Our hotelroom was comfortable and housekeeping quickly fixed its few shortcomings. The TV was large, wifi was fast. Pillows and bed were clean and comfortable.

Always greeted warmly by staff, especially GM who welcomes returning guests by their name. Any issues that might arise are quickly addressed.

A great H.I.E tucked away in the woods of Chesapeake. Close to the interstate and everything else. Great staff, my check in was easy. A great and totally unexpected view from room 410.
The housekeeping staff was friendly and on point with towels, pillows, and anything else I needed.
Thank you for the relaxing stay. I will come back to see what this hotel looks like when the renovation is complete.
Not up to typical Holiday Inn Express standards!!

Let me say that I’m not a picky person...really. But I was shocked at how disproportionate this hotel was in comparison to other Holiday Inn Expresses. We stayed in a renovated room and it didn’t feel warm and welcoming at all. I could hear the neighbors reasonably loudly and the shower wasn’t clean.

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was very large and nicely cleaned. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Although a tub would be nice, I understand they are doing renovations so maybe in the future.

Comfy beds and clean rooms, were remolding at time of stay, some noise but not that bothersome, great service overall, close to shopping areas, variety to chose at breakfast time. Recommend this hotel.

Quality of renovation and attention to detail is lacking
