Great room; would definitely stay here again

It had been decades since I'd stayed at a Holiday Inn, and my previous experience wasn't anything to write home about, but my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Reno has definitely changed my mind. From the time I walked into the front lobby, I was constantly surprised at how nice the place was. I'd looked at previous ratings of the hotel and have no idea how people rated this place as a 2 star hotel because it's definitely way better than that. For the price I paid, the quality of the hotel was far better than what I expected. The entire hotel was clean, modern looking, bright, and inviting. My room is what surprised me the most. I had a King room and it was plenty spacious, with the biggest surprise being that the ceiling was about 12 - 14 feet high, which made the room seem even bigger. The bathroom was spotless, modern looking and plenty big enough for me. What I appreciated the most was that the HVAC system and the refrigerator weren't noisy when they kicked on, which is rarely the case in even a lot of high end "4-5 star" hotels. All in all, I was very impressed with this hotel and will definitely stay there again in the future.

We had a nice one night stay. It felt very Covid safe and clean. Breakfast had ample choices and felt very sanitary with disposable gloves and staff to serve the warm items.

My only complaint is minor, and that is the bed (in my opinion) was a little hard. It took one night to get used to it. But after that, we were fine. The service was wonderful, the hotel was immaculate, room was clean and comfortable. Everyone was taking the proper precautions, so we felt safe. A bonus was the hot breakfast, which I had expected to be closed because of COVID, but it was, in fact, open. You could not serve yourself, but that was not an issue for us. Serving staff were very friendly and accommodating.

This was a very nice, clean, comfortable hotel. We appreciated the delicious breakfast and the friendly staff. We would return if our path leads us back to Reno.

Upon entering hotel, there was no one to greet us. Oh after a while a young man who was visiting with his girlfriend in the dining area came over to help us. It didn’t seem like he cared much whether we were there or not. He seemed to be in a rush to talk to his girlfriend. He gave us our keys. We went up to our room. It was filthy. Full trash cans, beds not made up, towels on the floor. We went back downstairs to get help. There was the front desk person talking to his girlfriend.... finally he came over to help got us a new room. Next morning our toilet clogged. Went down to ask same guy. He said oh here’s the plunger handing it to us. No helper to send up to fix the problem!!! Wowww what can I say about that dude.... good way to lose customers. Also he was unprofessional and not dressed professionally either. After we got into a clean room then our stay was good.

I live in California and always stay at this hotel. Staff, room availability and cleanliness is second to none. Hotel is also close to restaurants, shopping and casinos. I highly recommend this hotel.

Every holiday inn have been good and high reliable quality. It has been quiet.and clean. People are friendly and I have used pool and exercise area.
