Location is everything!

The HIE Dublin City Centre is a great choice if you want to be in the middle of the action. Public transportation is fantastic. If you need it, it is right outside your door. The front desk staff is knowledgeable about Dublin and the surrounding area. Be prepared to spend a little bit more due them being centrally located. The rooms are streamlined and simple. The shampoo and body wash seemed to be watered down, but smelled great. The bed was too hard for me, but not much can be changed about that. I recommend the HIE city center. Could/should be great no bean counter design

Need to provide drawers for clothing as well as a bigger closet. Needs hooks for wet towels. If using rewards it should not require multiple reservation. Staff is great but overwhelmed by silly problems due to bean counting.

Everything was wonderful, from the location on O'Connell St to the full Irish breakfast every morning. Staff were kind, helpful & professional, from a greeting to giving directions to the nearby Luas tram. Rooms were clean & comfortable.

Hate to downgrade the hotel but who allowed the bean counters to decide that this hotel can't afford to provide a chest of drawers bureau in every room? We were booked for ten days and did not want to iive out of our suicases. It wasn't that there was no room for it but clearly a financial decsion. Also, a very tiny closet with no door. The staff was great and put us in a bigger room with a "nice" shelf. Better than nothing but still inadequate. ps. no washcloths.

In overall, we had a happy stay. However, it could be better if hotel can do a tiny bit more:
1. We arrived at about 5:30pm by driving a car. Obviously, there is no parking place in front of hotel. I had to follow the car steam and drove a few streets way to find a parking place. It was unsuccessful for me to try to find the direct phone contacting! I had to login IHG.com and rang an US number and then was told how to park my car! Phew! It can be easily specified in your hotel website!
2. We tried to use hair dryer in the bathroom and could not find any power socket point! We had to unplug the TV and use its power socket, where we could not use mirror!
3. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work since we moved in.
This was an excellent hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful.

I enjoyed this hotel. My only wish would have been to have an extra towel in the bathroom. Just a personal preference did not take anything away from the experience.
I’ve stayed before and will stay again!

I stayed in this hotel in April 2024 with my daughter. It was a great location and very easy to take the bus from the airport. The bus stops almost at the front door of the hotel. This year, on another trip to Dublin with three friends I recommended this hotel and we all Stayed there in separate rooms. Everyone really enjoyed the stay! I like to stay at Holiday Inn express because of the complementary breakfast. It’s so much nicer to just be able to go down and grab something for breakfast and then shower and start your day instead of having to worry about going out for breakfast. In early April, I stayed at a Holiday Inn express in Barcelona. They did not have hot items at the breakfast bar. They told me that that is standard for Holiday Inn express in Europe. Well, they were wrong because your hotel has a great breakfast with hot items! I would not hesitate to stay here again! The service has always been exceptional!

Firstly, the location is just perfect, I was able to walk home from the Swan Theatre in 10 minutes. As a solo female traveller it is invaluable to have such as safe and easy journey. Also the hotel terrace is lovely (when not raining), the pool is OK (and has child-free sessions early morning at late evening) the gym is great. I waited for a long time to check-in and there was no mention of my wait. Reception appeared to be poorly staffed but it was Easter Sunday. My room’s aircon didn’t work but ,when I complained, I was moved and the second room was fine (apart from some toilet flush problems which continued even after “repaired”. Overall it was a great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and Oli in the bar was lovely and makes a mean margarita!

We arrived on a flight from SFO that got us to the hotel about an hour before normal check-in. We emailed to ask to leave some bags if our room wasn't ready, and Nayara responded very positively. When we arrived, Ana at the front desk was very friendly and told us our room was ready.
