My Great Place Away From Home!

Great hospitality is what you receive at Holiday Inn Express. The desk clerks and the breakfast hostess were Magnificent. The desk clerk was very helpful, and took pictures for us.
I always choose Holiday Inn Express, from GA (north and south) to MD.
The cleanliness, superb breakfast of many choices, very comfortable bed and pillows.
Thank you for your hospitality in all aspects of your business.

Hotel has slipped

We have been coming to the HI Express and Suites in Edgewood for over a decade. It has usually been good, as its average 4.7 rating would attest.
However, our latest stay was very disappointing.
To begin with we asked for an King Suite in order to have the desk separate from the bed area. We were told this was approved, but when we got there, we were assigned a different trooom and the desk was still very near the bed.
The two larger towels were very, very frayed. , not worthy of even the lowest budget dumop.
The room is not well lit, even with all lights on.
The breakfast on a Sunday should not be closing up at 9:10, 20 minutes early, when even the 9:30 deadline is early for a weekend. By 9:15 there was no sausage left and just cold eggs.
The bread was stale, both the bagels and the whole wheat toast (no white toast at all).

I have booked and stayed here 3 times traveling to bring my daughter to school in the DC area. Rooms are clean, free breakfast stocked and hot. However don’t expect any special treatment as a Rewards One member. Each time I asked if any upgrades and each time told no rooms available. The place looked empty, lights and TV are kept off in the public areas, and it’s very quiet., and not inviting I’ll probably look elsewhere as there are plenty other properties available to meet my needs. This last stay my room overlooked the outside wall of the adjoining hotel complex. It was pretty hilarious actually. I lifted the blind and the bldg was literally right there. Nice view haha?!

Hotel staff very courteous and friendly.
The breakfast was not the greatest. Coffee was awful. Food was running very low and not being replaced.
Overall, nice, clean hotel. Great location close to shopping and dining.

Very comfortable beds. Always quiet.
Very friendly staff. Easy access off and onto US 95, and choice of restaurants within 5 minute drive. A couple choices within walking distance.

I stopped over in the area on my return from a business engagement to visit with relatives and friends for a few days. It was very conveniently located between all the stops I wanted to make. I would likely select this hotel again when I come to this area. A positive for me, when staying a few days was the room service only when requested. It is nice to know that when coming and going that nothing was touched while I was away. I like room service to occur only when I request it.

Everything was just right. I had driven all day and found everything just right to rest and recover for a meeting the next day. I like the broad range of breakfast choices for any diet, especially for my low-carb diet.

I had a good stay overall. I do think the internet needs to be better quality. Also some of the breakfast produce wasn't as fresh as it should have been.

Stay was very pleasant except the Tv wouldn't work. IThe price of our room seemed to be awfully high considering the location of the motel.

The hotel hides between several other hotels in a very convenient area for travelers using the 95 interstate. The area has plenty of restaurants near by to choose from during your stay. The hotel staff was extremely friendly all around. The second shift check in representative was very accommodating with offering information and reviewing all the Hotel information.
