Overall the hotel and room were clean nice. The bed was comfortable and the TV was good. The bathroom was clean and good size, however the shower head could be better. The one issue we had was there was no closets or dressers. Just hooks on the wall to hang you clothes on that made it look messy overall. No microwave in the room could make it an inconvenience if you wanted to warm up any food without going down to the lobby. The only ice machine was on the lobby floor which wasn’t to much of an issue.

We like pretty much everything about our stay. The front desk service, the housing staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the around-the-clock coffee and tea, the pool (although I had a medical situation that prevented me from going in), the dog friendliness, the modernity of the entire place and the location. The staff were all smiles and genuinely happy to be there. We met some other guests who were also first-timers. They were frequent travelers and had only good things to say. We will definitely tell others and add a review to other travel sites.

Check-in was quick, very professional, and friendly. The drive to the beaches was longer because of the holidays, so it took 30-45 minutes to get to Bethany or Fenwick Island. It was great that they offered two EV chargers, free of charge, so we were able to charge overnight and not worry about finding a charging option, since there are not many options available in Bethany or OC. They also offer breakfast with two warm options, which was excellent, quick, and delicious. My only complaint was the noise level coming from the room above. You can hear all the footsteps, chair moving, and the housekeeper cleaning the room, so if you plan to sleep in, do not stay in room 215. Besides that, I would stay again and recommend this place.
Poor reservation experience

I booked this hotel more than a week in advance. While we were enroute to the property (a 10 hour drive), they attempted to contact me to tell me that there was a problem with the credit card I had provided. They had over a week to resolve this and waited to the last minute. Since they did not reach me, they cancelled the reservation. Fortunately, there was another room type available, so although we did not get the room type we wanted, at least we were not left on the street with nowhere to stay. What makes this worse, is that I was told it was policy not to validate cards unless the property is sold out. This is the worst time to do it, as it risks turning a confirmed reservation into just a request.

This AVID HOTEL was excellent for me and my wife. The staff made our stay very pleasant and wonderful . The rooms were the right size for the two of us. Diffinitely would recommend AVID HOTEL to anyone.

The avid brand is the perfect hotel either for a single traveler or a couple who have a little getaway. The room was well appointed, comfortable, quiet and spacious for our needs. The common areas were bright and very clean. No need to go out to breakfast - the selections were varied and good. Coffee in the lobby and water bottle filling station were nice touches. Soap/Shampoo/Conditioner (Dove) were mounted at the sink and in the shower - so convenient and not wasteful.

Hotel is ideal location for the price. It is near shops & restaurants. Not far from the beaches, clean and comfortable.
