Great hotel, but with see through bathrooms.

The hotel was in a perfect spot for us to attend Macquarie Uni. The staff were fantastic and the hotel clean, neat and modern. Breakfast was great. The only downside was the translucent walls to the bathroom and shower, otherwise spot on, these were a bit confronting when people are sharing a room with no family connection.

The room I stayed in was very new looking, modern and extremely clean. I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn in regards to the quality of the room and the service provided by the staff, and value for money.

I have been regular to Macquire Park Holiday Inn Express.
I am disappointed with management inflexible approach to client loyalty.
I was refused to add the last 18 nights of accommodation to my current account points. I had just become aware of this of the program at last visit.

Noisy, lack of cleanliness and poor food

I asked for my toilet to be cleaned properly two days in a row and it wasn’t. Breakfast food was poor, no complimentary coffee except the terrible noisy machines. Pls try to cook scrambled eggs properly.

Pretty lax hotel
Clean but boring
Beds half made, no blankets
Poor and cheapskate selection of room coffee and tea/tiny kettle
On site parking expensive and insecure
No on street parking as local highrise residents take all spaces available
Breakfast was woeful, little or no hot food available, some horrible watery scrambled eggs and a few small white sausages and dry stale danish pastries
Breakfast Staff not on the ball/slow
Not enough seating
Rude fellow guests/greedy vultures eating everything in sight
Yuck for the breakfast experience!
Will never stay here again

Great location. Close to metro and mall which has good food options. Very clean well kept property. Breakfast was great! Did not try other amenities. Wifi was very reliable. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The location of this hotel is very convenient for work travel, due to its proximity to Macquarie Park and the University. Having a large shopping centre across the road is also very handy.

A hidden gem in Sydney Macquarie park. Excellent location near to all amenities plus train station. Friendly staff with good quality room makes it a good choice.

Will prefix this review by saying I have had good stays here in the past and have booked again in the hope they've cleaned up their act a bit. But this stay in early March 2023 was a shocker. You know the hotel has problems when
- Your IHG profile says "away-from-elevator" but they give you room 628, the door next to the elevator (and I was a Diamond member at the time of check-in)
- They've left you a box of tissues with exactly 1 (one) tissue in it
- You have the green no-housekeeping sign on the door, but the housekeeper comes in anyway midway through your stay and says "haven't you checked out yet?"
- The milk that you put in the room's fridge has gone off, possibly down to a deliberate power-outage set up by the movement-sensor in the room
- 200 guests have paid for breakfast of reconstituted-powdered-eggs-on-toast, but there's only 50 seats and they all have to share just 2 (two) popup-toasters
- The hotel has hiked the parking to twentyfive dollars per DAY when there's free parking at two comparable 3-star hotels nearby
- It's been more than a week since checkout and they still haven't bothered to credit the IHG points for the stay

Good, honest HI Express location and services. Sydney was rammed for Pride so we elected to stay out of town. Very handy for the trip to the airport.
