Overall a good stay but a few niggles

Room clean and good size, comfortable bed but pillows very full and firm and my partner slept very badly due to this. Bathroom fine; but shower door leaks causing bathroom flooding. Check in excellent, breakfast choice and staff brilliant. Used the bar a few times, staff pleasant but sometimes painfully slow - 25 minutes for a round of drinks to be poured. 2 out of3 lifts not working - this made getting to and from rooms a lengthy process.

Overall stay was good. Couple of issues which can be easily resolved. Air con in the room was super noisy, if you are like me and want a good night sleep this is big issue.
Second problem was with the iron, i used it and it stained my tshirt with rust.
Room size and bathroom are good and have everything you need.
Also bit annoyed as when i was booking the room it said, parking available, but it is paid. I guess details about it would be good to know while booking.
Breakfast was just ok.
Overall our staff interaction was great except one instance when we needed some milk and the staff person was not happy to deliver it to us in room.
Checkin was a breeze thanks to lady at the reception.

With two young kids the experience was horrible the room temperature was not great.
AC did not work and food selection is limited.

I stayed here for a conference in one of the meeting rooms. The public areas, such as bar, restaurant and meeting rooms are outstanding. As a member I had my room upgraded, and the room was absolutely fantastic.
The staff were all really friendly and very helpful with all my queries.
The hotel itself is situated not far from Broad St which has a large selection of bars and restaurants, some of them right on the canal side and is a really pretty area.
A Tale of Two Rooms

I was visiting with my fiancee and her daughter, the daughter had a separate room. We were offered an accessible room as my fiancee is disabled so we accepted, but we really wish we hadn't. The daughters room was lovely, up to date decor with black furniture, separate shower and bath, it looked great. The accessible room however was woefully inadequate, to start with the decor was outdated and nothing like the other rooms on that floor, the AC hadn't been boxed in so was noisy, the fridge had been removed leaving a big open space which looked ugly, the light fittings next to the bed only had one screw in so could easily move exposing wires, bearing in mind this room was meant to be for someone who is disabled. The worst part was the bathroom looked like some just stuck some handrails on and said it's now accessible. The location of the toilet and handrail made it difficult to transfer from a wheelchair to the toilet, the hand rails next to the bath were shiny chrome which meant when someone grabbed them with wet hands they slipped, but the hand rail was the other side of the bath so couldn't be used for ingress or egress and for a disabled person, this was dangerous. There were pull cords in the room, but these were in the wrong place, for example the cord next to the bed could easily be pulled accidentally during the night as it was too close.If I stay here again I will refuse the accessible room as at least the standard rooms had a walk in shower that could be used by a disabled person. The only saving grace was that the staff at reception and the restaurant were extremely helpful when it came to assistance.

We have returned here on a few occasions now - and were recognised as repeat guests which is always nice and it is excellently positioned for all our needs - will be back again.

Whilst staying in the hotel my car was parked on the street outside and was trashed causing thousands in damage. Your staff Especially the concierge were marvelous they cleaned up the mess and made it drivable home well done

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, all staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and the king size bed was so comfortable. Quality of service and breakfast was 10/10, would highly recommend this hotel

I was given a new room with walk in shower - I hadn't specified this need when booking
I had booked Friday night dinner for 14 people, most but not all of whom were staying in the hotel. One of our party had not arrived by the meal time, 7.30pm. They were happy to wait. I contacted her and she was lost. Two staff, Andy and Sam, set off to find her and bring her to hotel. We then had a beautiful meal, all served at the same time with what we had ordered in advance. We had place settings with our names and orders on which was great as no one can ever remember what they ordered.
Mandy was the person I emailed with advance orders and she came to check that everything was OK. It was more than OK; it was excellent
I can't get over how well that meal went and the "search party" was definitely over and above all expectations

Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. The room was good quality and clean. the only downside was that two lifts were being refurbished, so peak times for guests moving about were slow.
