Do Not Stay at this hotel!

I booked my reservation two months ahead of my first trip since COVID and was so excited to visit family and see some sights in NYC. IHG, the hotel group that runs many hotels including my favorite Kimpton Hotels, along with Indigo hotels emailed me with a confirmation two days before my arrival. Imagine our surprise when
My husband and I arrived at 11:00 pm to see trash strewn around the front and numerous homeless men wandering around the entrance! One of the men told us that the building was no longer a hotel, but it had been converted into a shelter by the city. It looked nothing like the
pictures that were posted online when I made my reservation! Fortunately, we had a great Uber driver who quickly got us out of the neighborhood in question and found a clean Hotel for us to stay in a safer area.
The entire experience was shocking and frightening to say the least. I tried numerous times to call and email the hotel and IGH group, but I received no answers.

I specifically booked this hotel for the amenities it offered. It was closed upon arrival. I was never informed this would be the case, and rather was shuttled to a nearby hotel of far inferior quality and service. The experience at that hotel was dreadful. Horrible communication Hotel Indigo.

Worst Hotel Stay Ever

This was the first online hotel booking where the real life photos were completely opposite to the online photos. And, not in a good way.
I went the entrance twice, as I couldn't believe this was the hotel I booked online. The lobby was horrible, I felt like I was entering a ghetto-as* liquor store in the hood.

First off let me express how grateful I am of you all at Indigo. Initially I was so hesitant about having to live in a hotel away from my family amid the pandemic. Upon meeting the staff, interacting with them daily and having such a nice and spacious room I was happy. Each and every day you all made sacrifices to come and be of service to us and I am so appreciative of this. Every time I walked either into or out of the establishment I was always greeted and anything that i needed the staff ensured that I received it. Thank you all so much for being so accommodating to the employees at NYP-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital I really and truly appreciate you all.

Not recommended

- Construction site in front of hotel. Very loud, construction starts at 6am and end around 4pm.
- No fridge. Requested for a fridge several times and was told I am placed on the waitlist, after 3 months still unable to obtain.
- In the middle of the night, I would wake up itchy and sometimes with red bumps. Told front desk, nothing was done.
