Staff is outstanding. Service reminded me of what you would get on a cruise ship. Rooms are a bit dated but everything you need is there to have a great time and to also relax. This is a great resort to stay at for a few days upon arrival to adjust to the time zone change and get some rest. Be aware that, due to ocean currents, there are issues with the cleanliness of the beaches on this side of the island, at least during the rainy season. But this is not under the control of the resort. The beach is not directly visible from the resort anyway but if you're all about spending your days on the beach, you'll probably want to stay in the east side of the island. We enjoyed this resort because we were more interested in the resort itself than the beach.

This is our third stay at the resort but the first time without any of our children as we have now retired. We have always enjoyed our stays as the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the room size is generous with the balcony. The location suits us for long walks along the ocean front towards Seminyak for exercise. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali in Indonesia, we arrived on the 26th of December and Left on the 3rd of January, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. Being an IHG One Platinum Elite member, I do have high expectations at every stay.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service.
We were picked up from the Airport by a friendly staff member called Edi, he was very friendly and helpful with the luggage.
The resort is situated right on the beach, providing stunning views and easy access to the ocean, however the beach itself was not safe to be used as it was full of debris, it would be wonderful if the beach was as it was pictured on the website.
The room were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with a modern Balinese touch. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep every night. The amenities in the room were also top-notch, including a flat-screen TV, mini fridge, and a nice bathroom.
One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible food. The resort has multiple dining options, each offering a variety of delicious dishes. Whether I was in the mood for traditional Indonesian cuisine menu or international Favorites, for us the traditional Balinese cuisine was the best, so flavourful and tasty, that we only ordered from the Palms restaurant Menu, even thou we were always at the Envy Restaurant. We were always satisfied with my meal.
The breakfast buffet was also impressive, with a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes, also including an Indian breakfast station, Waffle & Pancake Station, Chinese Soup Station, fresh juices on request and eggs your way on request as well.
The staff at the resort truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were always friendly, attentive, and willing to assist with any request. I especially want to commend the staff at the pool bar, who made the best cocktails and kept us entertained with their friendly conversations.
There are a few staff members that I would like to mention, as they went above and beyond for us:
Dedi –Always with a smile and attentive, he knew exactly what we wanted.
Vinda –He was friendly, and took our feedback well, and remediated straight away.
Ketut– She is amazing, always a smile, she was superb at the new years party, giving us an amazing table location.
Wartini –She is nothing less than amazing, super attentive, friendly, always with a smile, she deserves a promotion for sure.
Gede –Very friendly, attentive, and he was happy as he was learning,
Tia –She is very friendly and helpful
There is a lot more staff that I would like to name here, specially from the room service team and the Breakfast Team, they were always nice and friendly, we would like to thank each one of them.
On the room service note, I must say that every order we placed did not take more than 15 minutes to be delivered.
The resort also has a beautiful pool area with plenty of loungers, umbrellas and day beds perfect for relaxing in the sun.
I would also recommend the Tea Tree Spa, we had the couple spa service for 2.5Hrs on 1st of January, it was very relaxing, the staff was very nice and attentive.
Also we would like to thank all the Front Office Staff, the were amazing on accommodating our requests when possible, we had a flight back at 9:30pm, so checking out at 11am would be a pain….. However we were able to stay at the hotel until 6pm, and that was fantastic.
Overall, our stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali was nothing short of amazing. The staff, amenities, and location all exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable holiday in Bali. I can't wait to come back and stay here again!

I would never stay here again, poor quality hotel, the building is very old the staff are friendly enough, but this is no way a high class 5 star resort, lots of people from Australia getting drunk at all hours of the day!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn Baruna in Bali, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and kindness by the respectful and attentive staff who made me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay.
The environment was absolutely stunning, with lush gardens, a serene atmosphere, and beautifully maintained facilities. The attention to detail in every corner of the property was remarkable, creating a perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
What truly stood out was how the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was impeccable, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall ambiance was beyond perfect. Whether it was relaxing by the pool, enjoying the delicious cuisine, or simply soaking in the beauty of Bali, every moment felt special.
I cannot recommend Holiday Inn Baruna enough. It’s a paradise that offers more than just a stay—it’s an experience. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so memorable. I’m already looking forward to my next trip!
Rundown, not well trained staffs, Food Hygene

The hotel room is pretty old. Both iron and hair dryer are not working, need to call up to replace.
Staffs from front desk and F&B are not well trained. Long check in time. The staff not even know how to redeem my F&B rewards during checked out.
Food hygene is very bad. My wife struggled with FOOD POISOINING after taking our lunch at the Palm Restaurant. Very bad experiences.
There are too many flies at the restaurant.
This is one of the worse Holiday Inn Resort that I ever stayed.

Moisture and leacked water in both rooms. I t could have 2 reasons and Air conditioner should have service. And because of raining days there was some moisture in air.

As always holiday inn you have never let us down. Not just us but our kids aswell have enjoyed every bit of our stay we wished to stay longer but we couldn't.
You have an amazing staff right from checkin to checkout.
Forgot the name of the staff who checked us in and checkout can't recall but starting letter was D, your restaurant staff...Triani, Ririn, Santi

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and was quite helpful. There was also very little noise. However the key weakness of the hotel was the dining options which were extremely limited for guests arriving on late flights. A great value if you’re looking for an overnight stay while waiting for a next day flight.

I was not happy from the time I checked in. The hotel is very dated, especially the rooms and beds. The ocean view has no real view of ocean not worth paying for. Their beach is public and dirty. Food quality was okay. Half of my mirror was covered by a piece of wood used to hang tv on the wall.
