The carpet and the furniture are stained and dirty.. The TV screen had a wavy effect.
The staff were okay.

The room was very unclean. Hair was left in the sink and urine all over the seat. The curtains were stained brown. We did not feel safe staying there with our family. There were several drunk men outside and the smell of smoke was strong in the lobby.

Key loses power frequently
Gym fountain water tastes funky. Filter probably hasn’t been changed long time

The room was clean, bed was comfy, and staff was friendly to me and my dog. We got a good rest and appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The bathroom had what we needed to get a good hot shower. Dove soap and shampoo products were provided.

Nice hotel, just room wasn't cleaned all the way, had dirty laundry in floor under desk, need a lil air fresher just stuffy, but front staff was super nice, easy check in that s was amazing. Super easy on line check in toooo.............................

I had an excellent day at Candlewood suites and then in Texarkana Texas. I would recommend your location to anyone that may be traveling that route. The only drawback that I had was that I was pulling the trailer 14 foot long for a traveling memorial and was unable to stay connected to my trailer. Other than that, it was an excellent stay. And as the first question that was asked did the clerk thank me for being a card member which they did not does not hurt my feelings at all. Have a good day.
This room had a lot of space and a nice recliner in the living room.

This stay was booked with points. I like the room, and it was a good place to stop for a one-night stay during our trip to TX. The living room furniture was ok, and the recliner was a great touch!
There are two items that could have made this room better. 1. Larger bed. The bed here was too small for a couple (full size). In my stays I prefer a queen at the smallest.
2. Bigger TV's with at least close to recent technology. These TVs are small and out of date on technology.
We were very appreciative of Candlewood for allowing our dog in the room with us. That was the deciding factor for our stat at this property.
Great location, comfortable bed and clean room.

The Candlewood was located in a very convenient location for what I needed to do in Texarkana. The room was clean and comfortable. When I travel back to Texarkana, I will definitely be staying at this location.
Elevators Not Working Properly/Not ADA Compliant

The elevator at this hotel does not work properly. Neither the IHG app nor the front desk staff notify you of this issue before you check in. We were placed in a 3rd floor room, and only found out the elevator did not work when we got to it and read the sign posted on the elevator saying that the recall function didn't work, the elevator would remain open on whatever floor it was last sent to, and front desk staff would help you find the elevator and send it to the necessary floor as needed. The sign also included the phone number to the front desk and stated that 1k points would be given to everyone for the inconvenience. When leaving the next morning, the elevator was neither at the 3rd or 1st floor, so I went to the front desk for help. The man working the front desk the morning of Sunday, 10/13 refused to help even though he acknowledged that the signs on the elevator required him to. We ended up having to haul our 4 large rolling suitcases down 3 flights of stairs. We were also not recognized as IHG members and didn't get our amenity points.

We got a good night sleep on the comfortable bed for the one night we spent there. We wer refreshed in the morning to continue on our travels. I would recommend another stay there on future travels.
