The Georgia Dome, which opened in 1992, is home field for the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia State University Panthers. In addition to regular season home games for those two teams, it hosts regional championship games and exhibitions throughout the year, including The Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic, The Southeastern Conference football championship game, and The Georgia High School Football State Championship.
While The Dome is a hot spot for regional and collegiate football fans, it presents a variety of other events for natives and travelers alike. A mixture of sporting events take place there every year, including basketball tournaments and soccer matches. The Dome was even a central venue for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
In addition to the sports activities, the site also hosts an assortment of entertaining events, such as major concerts, religious occasions, and major motorcycle and monster truck shows. Many area high schools even host their graduation ceremonies there.

Staff for the most part was wonderful. The one night my wife and I went down to the bar for a drink before dinner we were served by a bartender who seemed less than interested in accommodating ANY of[More]
the guests at the bar. Needless to say we grabbed a quick drink and headed out for the evening. Aside from that small experience, overall we had a great staff. And again, the vast majority of the staff did an AMAZING job! [Less]
