With its hodgepodge of architectural styles and many distinctive neighborhoods, there are always new surprises in store for any traveler to Berlin. Known for its cozy cafés, sparkling nightlife, and vibrant street art, the capitol of Germany is also steeped in a colorful and fascinating history that overlaps throughout the city. And lucky for you, IHG has plenty of Berlin hotels to suit every need and fancy.
Dive right into your Berlin exploration with a visit to Museum Island, which houses more world class museums in its small circumference than many cities at large. Stop first at the Pergamon Museum, where you’ll travel through the gates of Babylon and across the world through a vast collection of ancient Greek, Middle-Eastern, and Islamic art. The sculpture exhibits at the Bode Museum are also a must, as is the Neues Museum -- a formerly bullet-ridden building that sat empty for decades after the end of WWII until its full reconstruction in 2009. And no tour of Museum Island would be complete without climbing the tower of the Berliner Dom for an exquisite view of the city.
Once you’re done on the island, head to the Kulturforum to see collections of European paintings in the Gemäldegalerie and unique and historical instruments at the Musikinstrumenten Museum. WWII buffs will also want to experience history firsthand at any number of memorials and museums.Families will have a blast at the Berlin zoo, which has the largest number of species in the world. Or head to Wannsee, otherwise known as “Berlin’s bathtub”, to test the waters along with the locals. After you’ve had a soak, going shopping in the nostalgically charming Kaufhaus Des Westens at Wittenbergplatz, reputed to be the largest department store in Continental Europe, will be sure to warm your day.
Then find your way back to your comfortable and convenient IHG hotel, where the friendly staff will happily help you plan for tomorrow. With world class amenities and locations that can’t be beat, there’s no better way to make the most of your stay than booking one of our IHG hotels in Berlin.

I found this hotel to be quite lovely and appealing to the eye. The concierge and people at the desk were very knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very clean and modern. i loved that the micro[More]
fridge was stocked and a bottle opener was provided! The beds were very comfortable, but i can't say as much for the toilet paper. it was more like cardboard. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection, but due to my late arrival, I was only allowed to take one plate of food. The bar was beautiful, but the two servers had more of a crowd than they could handle on the Friday night that we arrived. I was unable to charge any of my devices as I did not bring a US to Europe transformer and the one that the hotel rented me did not work. The hotel is too far from anywhere that i was able to purchase one. The shuttle service to and from the airport and train station was excellent! My biggest issue occurred when the staff came into my room unannounced within the first 30 minutes following check in. This happened not just once, but twice. The staff that entered the room did not speak English, so i never knew the reason. A knock would have been courteous. [Less]
I would like to have had some wash cloths in the room. One for washing my face and one for cleaning up the water in the sink area. I like to leave my sink area clean for my wife to use.

Overall, I was extremely happy and satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would have preferred a safe in my room, but was able to use the one in the lobby.
The breakfast was very good and plentiful. [Less]
