The locals are proud of this reputation, and will answer any questions you have about exploring their city and the rolling fields that surround it. The city experiences all four seasons quite distinctly: a cold winter with plenty of snow, a warm spring, hot summer and stunning fall. Due to an emergency, I needed an extended stay in an area hotel -- this Holiday inn Express met the need. I lived there for three weeks. Not only was the room kept comfortable and clean for the time[More]
I stayed, but the microwave and refrigerator were extremely handy to have use of. The hotel in general is pleasant, has good light and good air circulation; pictures of local Vermont scenes were good to see, helped make the place seem more individual and not just a generic hotel. In general the decor was pleasant, low key, and attractive. Staff were friendly and accomodating, the maids in particular are very nice and hard working, and the front desk staff always ready to help with any questions. Noise level was very good -- I could hear nothing from others when in my room. Breakfast included a nice variety of hot and cold -- and there was always coffee and fruit available during the rest of the day. I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone coming to the Springfield VT area and would stay here again myself. [Less]
