Columbus, the largest city in Ohio, as well as the state’s capital — draws an eclectic mix of visiting professionals, students of higher education and tourists attracted by the town’s year-round festivals and parades, public parks and award-winning cultural institutions. In 2012, Columbus was ranked number 20 on BusinessWeek’s list of top 50 cities. With IHG’s numerous Columbus hotels, you’ll always have a place to stay that is close to your favorite attractions.
Experience a variety of ecosystems and see more than 700 wildlife species when you go to the Columbus Zoo, which was named America’s favorite zoo by USA Travel Guide, thanks, in part, to animal expert and popular TV personality, Jack Hanna, the zoo’s most famous director emeritus. Now known as the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, in recent years, the animal sanctuary has opened Zoombezi Bay, a nearly 23-acre water park that features state-of-the-art water slides and action river. Less adventurous grownups can even find something exciting to do here, namely, play a few holes at the zoo’s Safari Golf Club, which has been described as very open, well designed and unique in its layout.
Columbus is also a great destination for history buffs, lovers of the arts and culture, foodies, antique hunters and those who enjoy strolling recently rejuvenated city neighborhoods. Drop in on the stylish boutiques, galleries and cafes in downtown’s Short North neighborhood then wander aimlessly around the picturesque, narrow-brick-alley German Village. Plan to spend some time at the capitol, where you can witness lawmakers in action. Columbus’s Statehouse, with its flat-roof rotunda, is one of the most distinctive historic monuments in the country. Take a free, 45-minute interactive audio tour, which departs from the Map Room at the Statehouse Museum Shop, seven days a week. For those who have a finicky schedule, after-hour tours are available with a reservation made at least two weeks in advance.
Midwestern hospitality is just one of the amenities you can expect when you stay at an IHG property in this dynamic, historic city. Book your stay at one of IHG’s hotels in Columbus right now and start planning a most memorable getaway.

Was surprised to find greasy head stains on the wooden headboards. Pretty gross. And the housekeeping staff has probably never dusted the wall sconces in the bathroom. Other than those 2 things, the[More]

A hotel one could get business completed and get all the help needed to make sure things went smooth.
A hotel that during downtime was very relaxing and comfortable.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone. [Less]
The hotel was quite comfortable and the area offered lots of shopping and restaurant options. The Chinese takeout was great and very close by.
My wife loved having a recliner in the room. That will[More]

I was disappointed with the lack of breakfast. I guess I assumed that all the nicer hotels gave you breakfast in the mornings. I hadn't realized that it was an extended stay type facility and would not have breakfast.
The price compared to other hotels makes it a weak value considering the lack of breakfast, no swimming pool and weekly housekeeping, especially at the weekend rate.
The facility, staff and location were great, but it is only the recliner in the room that will bring us back. [Less]
