InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown
Start your day off having breakfast in Dekkadance on the 69th floor, with seats against the window, watching the early morning commuters and airplane arrivals headed into LAX. Once you've had our special smoothie and a made to order omelet, you'll be ready for a private tour of Los Angeles that will take you from Downtown to all the hot spots in the city, arranged by our Concierge.
Begin the tour with a short hike to come up behind the iconic Hollywood sign, then drive down the legendary Sunset Blvd. You’re sure to see the famous (and infamous) locations around Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Take a photo at the Chinese Theater, stroll along the Walk of Fame stars, then head back into Downtown, with a pit stop at the Grand Central Market, an amazing food hall with 40+ dining options. A Concierge favorite: McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream, try the Eureka lemon flavor.
Return to the hotel just in time for sunset, and soak in the hotel Jacuzzi on the 7th floor overlooking Downtown to relax before dinner. Of course, a few appetizers from the No Dive pool bar is just a sampling of more to come. Get ready for your dinner at Wine Spectator award winning restaurant La Boucherie on the 71st floor, where Paul and Chef Igor will transport you into heaven, or at least it will feel that way with the night time views overlooking LA from your starlight booth. You will be treated to signature cocktails and even your own salt pairing for your steak selection. A few hours later, wind down your perfect day by visiting Spire 73.
The Hollywood sign originally said “Hollywoodland"
The Hollywood sign originally said “Hollywoodland,” as it was an advertisement for Tinseltown’s latest real estate development. In 1949 it changed to "Hollywood."
