Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistently good service and excellent location This is our 5th or 6th time staying here. We live too close to Boston to justify staying too many nights in the city, but when we want to spend a couple of consecutive days in the city, Intercontinental is our go-to place. Always friendly staff (although we had a grumpy waiter at the restaurant for dinner who probably was not excited about working on Sunday night with very few diners), and the location can't be beat. Boston in general is a fabulous location but to add the accommodation to the top of our list of the best reasons to come back...bonus! I was recognized right away as a Rewards Member. I was given a long list of benefits that would be available to me during my stay. One of which was a late check out. We took advantage of that and explored Fanuel Hall and the Seaport District. It was so nice to know that we had all this extra time to enjoy ourselves. Every time we'd circle back to the hotel, I'd stand back and just take it all in...how beautiful the location was, the look of the hotel from outside was impressive. It just made us really feel like royalty to walk through those doors and into that expansive lobby. The two restaurants were fabulous. The room was total class. Not just clean and comfy....gorgeous. The bathroom was stately and created an air of relaxation like I've never experienced in any other hotel. The room had just enough of everything you'd need: outlets, drawers, closet space, lighting, towels, large TV that pivoted so you could watch from any spot in the room. There was not one staff member from check in to check out that we weren't impressed with. Including the valet parking, which I understand isn't owned by the hotel, but even knowing that...the people running that end of things were just as exceptional. We will be back. No question. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful property Ana at the front desk sets the tone for Intercontinental excellence! She is the model employee. As soon as we were greeted by her we knew we were in good hands. The property is beautiful. The view of the harbor brings the outside into your room no matter what the weather. We enjoyed cocktails each night along the waterfront. This was truly one of the most quiet hotel rooms I have ever had. Thank you to all at the Boston Intercontinental for a memorable stay! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Room & Staff - Avoid the Breakfast We had a good experience except the breakfast was bad. Three of four adults had bad food which was undercooked in one case and overcooked eggs for the other two. The request for "crisp bacon" came out greasy and soft. Wheat "toast" never saw a toaster etc., etc. The two kids had a decent meal. For a check of $180 for the group it was a joke. July 30, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Restful sleep, great dining room meals, staff amazing My daughter and I spent 6 days at the hotel recently. Our room was lovely and clean and the beds were great - we slept like logs! We had dinner in Miel where the food was really good and the service impeccable. The concierge staff and the doormen were really helpful and friendly. Thank you for another memorable trip spent at an Intercontinental Hotel. July 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Customer Service We spent 5 nights over the 4th of July with our two grandsons, age 6 & 9 in a spacious executive suite, which was perfect! The service was top notch and beds very comfortable. We had upgraded to use the Club floor, which was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed the H'orderves, cookies and drinks in the afternoon. The weekends included a chef that prepared custom omelettes or eggs for you that was excellent. The host/hostess in the Club rooms are extremely helpful and friendly, and do whatever they can to make your stay special. My grandson loves cheese and they brought him out some special gouda cheese. They had crayons and paper for the kids too. The bellman was immediate to deliver our luggage, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We requested housekeeping bring up two twin roll-a-beds that had a thick mattress and work great for our two grandsons. The concierge service was the very best and told us about the Go Card and where to eat good seafood in the area. We purchased the Go Card online in the Club room and saw most of Boston Fine Arts, Natural Science & Children Museums, Aquarium and Duck Tour. We ate at their suggested Legal Seafood and it was the BEST! We enjoyed eating at their outdoor restaurant, fish tacos and haddock were great! I checked out many hotels in the area prior to choosing and found InterContinental Hotel had the best value for the many amenities and comfortable & spacious room. I highly recommend this hotel.
