Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The good and the ugly Overall, this was a great hotel. The staff were friendly, especially in Selena's Brasserie where breakfast is held. The selection of food was great and the coffee was very good, which is often not the case in hotels. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were enormous but extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were very spacious with a good shower and lighting. That was the good. The ugly was the check-in experience. It was just one mistake after another and the staff handled it poorly even though they were polite and friendly throughout. I had arrived at the hotel between 2:30 and 3pm fully expecting to be able to check in and get into my room. However, the room was not available until about 5:30pm but I was not made aware of this and eventually got in at 7pm simply because that's when I returned to the hotel to check whether my room was ready because they had not contacted me. I hold IHG Platinum status and my first experience at this hotel as an elite member was very disappointing. However, the staff for the remainder of my stay made the overall experience a positive one, so a big thank you to them! August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Service Beyond The Call of Duty In this particular instance I would like to congratulate Intercontinental KL on the excellent personal touch provided by staff of the hotel in general. But particular reference should be focussed on Chief Concierge Extra Ordinaire Suraj. The initiative and service provided is beyond my wildest expectations. He ensured that my mum's (who is disabled and wheelchair bound# arrival into KL from the UK is taken care off without any hitch. I would also like to extend my utmost gratitude to Mr Hari# Intercontinental rep at KLIA) for his and his team's kind assistance to facilitate my mum's arrival. All this is done with very short notice as at the last minute we were left in a lurch by the respective airlines. I take my hat off to you and Intercontinental Hotel KL. You never cease to surprise me! I'll be back - that is a given! August 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First time in KL This was a four day stay at the end of an Asian holiday. I was disappointed. Being Ambassador members at the previous Intercontinental hotels we were seen as something special. We arrived late in the evening. We were not offered a welcoming drink. The 'canapes hour' was just finishing so we were told we could return for a glass of wine. There was no mineral water or fruit platter in the room and I had to ask several times for my daily paper. We also had to ask cleaning staff to empty full bins. We set the air-conditioner to 16 but the room was never cool. The hotel stay was nice but didn't wow. August 25, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stay 14.08. - 17.08.2015 We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for a long weekend and it was a great stay. We really enjoyed the nice room the good atmosphere at the pool, the nice Fitnesscenter and the good food at the Serena Brasserie (loved the breakfast) as well as the in-room Dining. In the future we will stay in Intercontinental HOtel again for sure. August 19, 2015
