This is a lovely hotel. The staff are very professional and pleasant; however I did not feel like they were very interested in talking to me or getting to know me. When traveling, I look forward to meeting the local people. Guests are treated respectfully, but it's a bit impersonal. That being said, the location is amazing, the beds are cozy, the hotel is very safe and I will remember my 8 nights there very fondly.

This Intercontinental is extremely well located within a stone's throw from the to of the Spanish steps and Piazza di Spagna. The Hotel itself shows a little bit his age and could surely do with some cosmetic make over but at the same time it confers it with a nostalgic and romantic feel of a bygone era and gives it plenty of character. I stayed in room 624 which has a great balcony with a panoramic view of Rome and the top of the Spanish steps. The restaurant on the 6th floor has a gorgeous view and the food is of high quality but a little pricey compared to nearby restaurants (the area is filled with plenty of outstanding restaurants). The location means that you have easy access to all the major sight seeing spots in Rome within walking distance (Vatican, Colosseum, Villa Borghese) as well as the shopping areas (Via Condutti, Via del Corso). Highly recommended. FCO Airport is a 30-45 minute drive depending on time of day and with traffic flowing. Only cons would be that the bed could have been a little bigger and the breakfast terrace could also do with a net to prevent pigeons from flying in and out (even saw one walking on a table and stepping on plates that would have been used by clients later that morning...)

Combine a convenient location, friendly knowledgeable staff, and an extremely comfortable room and you have the makings of a great stay in Rome. Make sure you check out the view from the terrace restaurant, it is magnificent.

We got warm welcome at the check-in desk by the receptionist. Though I did remember the name of the receptionist, I was impressed by his warm and sincere smile. He greeted us in our language, which made me feel being respected. My daughter got allergic on March 29. The receptionists and the concierge were very concerned and helpful. They asked basic symptom and provided advices as to how to see the doctor in public hospital. Unfortunately, we were unable to see the doctor till late evening since my daughter got the white color tag and was regarded non-emergency. When we came back to the hotel, the concierge was very concerned and followed up my daughter’s situation. The concierge was very kind and helpful to suggest us another public hospital and also made an the-next-day appointment for us to see a private doctor which the hotel had long-term cooperation relationship. We decided to see the private doctor. After taking the medicine, my daughter recovered two days later. We were very thankful that the hotel provided helps when we were in urgent needs, which was very important for travelers in foreign country. Thank you!

Experienced staff, beautiful historical building and magnificent location.

The management and staff of the De La Ville Roma are all to be commended for the professional, courteous and willing manner that they treat their guests.
We were made welcome from the outset and the staff, especially the members of the concierge team, went beyond expectations in ensuring that our stay was all we hoped for.
