Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointing I took the time to call directly to this hotel to make sure I would get the room and package I really wanted. Went ahead made the reservation supposibly with everything I had requested, which was, king size bed, high floor with "premier view". As soon as I got there, I was told that they had no more rooms with king bed, so I thought no big deal- I'll take a double bed with everything else I had reserved. Went to the room only to find out it was on a way lower floor, no premier view. I called and after being transferred to "manager" all she could said throughout discussion was " ma'am all I can do, is to suggest you take what you got and enjoy your night" I kept trying to get and answer of what is the point of making reservations there, if they're going to give you what they want. No answer, she said "that's how the hotel system works" another answer was, "I can give you a refund and you go somewhere else" considering it was a very busy night and probably no hotel in San francisco had an open room... I considered that very poor customer service skills and disrespectful.... They offered free breakfast for the inconvenience, a "$60 breakfast" which I had also reserved and paid for..and that was so poor in selection by the way. Management didn't do any Effort to accommodate for what I had reserved. I've been to many hotels and never had this type of experience, much less to have to deal with managers that are not able to handle the situation. we literally had nothing, but trouble during our short stay. Had to get in line couple of times to ask for the vouchers for cable cars, breakfast that was supposed to have included in the reservation, etc. I will NOT stay in any of this hotels any more and will not recommend any one to stay there.... Hotel room quality is not even what I consider a 4-5 star hotel either.... 22 February 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible neighborhood While the hotel is nice, and they are trying to revitalize areas of SF that are not nice to walk around at, with many, many homeless people per block and constant urine stench as soon as you walk outside the front door of the hotel, this area will never be cleaned up for people walking around who are staying at the hotel. My recommendation would be to stay in a nicer part of town and take an Uber to the convention center, since there's really no other reason to stay in a hotel in this location. If I uploaded images of this property from the street it would be impossible not to include several homeless people in the shot. Also very expensive parking. 21 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and ***** views Just a couple of glitches that need to be addressed: We were offered a room on the sixth floor after requesting a high floor. The receptionist was eventually able to locate one on the 23rd floor but this slowed what is normally an efficient and smooth check in process. Housekeeping missed an evening turn down and service. The desk/bureau in the room was dusty. This is the first time these matters have cropped up in my many stays and I thought you should be aware of them to keep the property at it's excellent standard. 21 February 2015
