We were guests as the result of a Caravan Tour so some of the questions do not apply to me. The group dinners at the hotel were wonderful but I enjoyed the breakfast time even more. Each time the staff was very available and friendly. Checkin was a bit protracted but other tours were checking in at the same time and there was always a comfortable lobby to await. I do wish that when 3 people are using a room as in my case, there were enough linens for 3. We could have requested more but were only there for a short time and made do.

Nice hotel. Good location in San Jose. Security was good. Bar staffing was not as good as should be.

The hotel as clean and comfortable as any other hotel in the same category. Nothing exceptional. The staff in restaurants, bar, etc. are very friendly and helpful. Where this hotel falls significantly below other hotels of the same category is in the concierge/botones area as well as the front desk. We made arrangements for airport transportation months in advanced and re-confirmed a couple of days before arrival. We were assured someone was going to meet us at the airport (we were traveling with a sick child). However, no one showed up to pick us up. When we called the hotel, no one seem to know anything about our transfer reservation or any other special arrangement we requested. We had to scrambled for transportation and when we arrived no one owned the problem. In fact, everyone just ignored that there was a problem and no one care to contact us with an explanation or even an apology. Based on that experience, we made our own arrangements for everything else we needed while in San Jose and avoided any further contact with the concierge/botones. To this day, calls and emails have gone un-answered. As for check-in, we arrived and were told our room would be ready in 20 minues,... and got the same answer every 20 minutes for 3 hrs! And, at the end we ended up in a room with a noisy air conditioning system.
So, if you just need a bed in the area, this is the place for you. It is nice, clean and well located. If you are going to need any other type of assistance, stay away from this hotel.

This is a good hotel with a great location and even better staff, they make it so much easier to accept 12$ drinks and 8$ beer. It's a hard price to pay knowing the employees make 150$ a week for 6 days work......

Most of the time, service was adequate. On Sunday, when all the guests showed up about 10 am for breakfast, the Lounge was crowded, out of plates, out of juice and out of food. It was not a pleasant sight and the staff tried very hard to cope. I think Management should consider alternate ways to disperse traffic like sending some to the main dinning room, room service for your regular/special guests or have extra service staff to speed up turn around time.
