My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Intercontinental in San Juan. I have never been treated with such disrespect from a desk manager "Irene". When we arrived, check in was 4:00 pm. We couldn't get into our room until 5:30 pm #after numerous attemps#. Many other guest were waiting as well. When asked to speak with the manager, #Irene# she was very rude. I asked what she can do for the inconvenience and she said that she could give me a late check out and a free breakfast. I didn't know what time my flight left at that moment so she stated that I should come down on Tuesday #for she would be off the next 2 days#. I didn't make it down on Tuesday but went on Wednesday. When I tried to explained to Irene the my flight left at 3:00 pm and if I could get 1 hour extra, she cut me off and told me only if it was available. SOOO RUDE!!!! We didn't even have the free breakfast she promised because I didn't want to deal with her again. Needless to say, we left the hotel at the regular check out time. As for housekeeping, Lilliam #12 floor# was AWESOME!!!!! Very accommodating. Bathroom tubs could use some deep cleaning. As for other staff members, I forgot my hat in the umbrella on the beach and was able to retrieve it the next day by the employee working at the towel station #thank you guys....#. Restaurants in the hotel were VERY EXPENSIVE. Dinner for 2 came to $190 #had 1 drink each# with tip. As a Priority Club Member, IHG employee and our 25th wedding anniversary, you would think they would try to make our trip a special one.

clean confortable hotel close to airport and mall of san juan. Nice pool area and beach. Fitness facility overlooks the ocean.

AVOID the IHG San Juan at ALL COST!!!!!
This is property has serious staff service issues. The staff is not only poorly training but also rude to their guest. This is the worst IHG property in the region!
Besides being called a lair when my wife asked the front dest to reset her room key, the front desk staff behaved so badly towards the guest during our stay when we finally decided to complain and asked for a manager we were told by the staff that no manager was on duty when in fact two managers were on duty. The manager lives on the property.
SAVE YOURSELF ... GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL!!!!
