Dingen om te doen

Wake up early and join a Tai Chi Class. Visitors are welcomed to have a try. After this refreshing exercise, we suggest you to enjoy a healthy and sumptuous breakfast at our restaurant. Next up on your list should be a visit to Qibao Ancient Town. You can buy many traditional souvenirs and accessories there, such as crafts, antiques, calligraphy and paintings.

Continue your adventure by taking a taxi ride to Yu Garden and prepare to get a real taste of Shanghai at Nanxiang Xiao Long Restaurant. This restaurant is in the middle of Yu Garden Bazaar and has gained a reputation in guidebooks for being the place to try the famed Shanghai delicacy Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings. On the ground floor, there is a take-away area that attracts long queues. If you're willing to pay a little more, you can go upstairs, where they offer more price tiers. Our advice, drop a little extra coin and save time and hassle by waiting in line.

Shanghai, the "Ever Bright City", really wakes up as the sun goes down, so no worries, there are plenty of opportunities to indulge into an exciting night life. First, enjoy a fantastic dinner in one of many restaurants on the Bund, take in the view of Huangpu River. "Lost Heaven" is one of the most popular restaurants on the Bund, serving tribal cuisine of China's Yunnan Province. Of course there are plenty of other great dining places suiting every taste. To end of the day by visiting one of the posh clubs in Shanghai, MINT is on the top floor of a skyscraper near the Bund and affords nice views of the city.

  • Traffic Rules

Traffic rules in Shanghai are different from those in most of other cities. In China, the rule of large vehicle going first is supposed to be obeyed. Please watch out when crossing the street. A green light does not mean that there is no car turning left. Please make sure you look left, right, front, back, up and down before crossing the road.
