WELCOME TO BANGKOK Welcome to the best city in the world. Well, we would say that, it's our home. But we truly want you to love being in Bangkok as much as we love living here. That's why we've put together this guide.

O que você pode fazer
O Dia Perfeito

Manhã

Start your day off perfectly with an early sunrise walk to Wat Pratumwanaram and an offer of food to monks, a way of making merit in Buddhist culture. Continue to Lumpini Park, Bangkok’s largest public park, where you can enjoy the fresh air while exercising. On your way back to the hotel, stop by the famous Erawan Shrine, known for bringing good luck and fortune. Now, time to fuel up with our delicious breakfast buffet at the Espresso restaurant, before you head out to Jim Thompson Museum, a traditional Thai-style house and residence of the man who helped restore Thailand’s silk industry after World War II. The well-preserved structure holds a collection of fine Asian art objects.

Tarde

Continue your perfect day by taking a taxi to the Royal Grand Palace, also known in Thai as Wat Phra Kaew. It's a place you should not miss. Inside, visit the Royal Chapel and see the most sacred Buddha image in all of Thailand, the spectacular Emerald Buddha. Just across the street is Wat Pho, site of Bangkok's famed Reclining Buddha. Then, for your travel back to InterContinental Bangkok, avoid late-afternoon traffic by taking a shuttle boat from Tha Tien Pier to Saphan Taksin BTS station and then catching the BTS skytrain to Chit Lom station, which is directly in front of the hotel. By then, you'll be keen to refresh with an expert massage at Spa InterContinental.

Noite

Experience a wonderful riverfront dinner at Asiatique where you can choose from many cuisines including Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Italian, with seafood dishes a specialty here. There's also simply enjoying the scenery along the Chao Phraya River and a decidedly romantic atmosphere at night. For a gala evening of entertainment, attend Siam-Niramit, a showcase of Thai culture on an intricate stage where performances depict a voyage through Thailand's history, myths and culture.

  • MURAL PAINTING

Classical Thai paintings found mostly inside Buddhist temples and palaces depict themes relating to Buddhism, such as the Buddha's life story.

  • FOOD

Most Thai food is already cut into small pieces before being served or is made soft enough to be cut with a spoon or fork, making knife use unnecessary.

  • THAI BOXING OR MUAY THAI

Attending a Muay Thai bout is a must-do for sports fans seeking a quintessential Thai experience. Bangkok’s two major boxing stadiums are Ratchadamnoen Stadium and Ramindha Boxing Stadium. Match cards alternate between these two sites.
