Kunming Dianchi Lake National Tourist and Holiday-spending Resort is one of the 12 state-level tourist and holiday-spending resorts approved by State Council in 1992, as well as the unique tourist and holiday-spending resort in an inland province among the 12 state-level tourist and holiday-spending resorts. The whole control area is 18.06km2. It is adjacent to Dianchi Lake in the south, is connected with the urban area in the north, borders on Xishan District and faces the Xishan Forest Park in the west.
