InterContinental Edinburgh The George

To support the health and well being of our guests and colleagues, this hotel is temporarily closed from 24 March.

Rich in history, with plenty of local charm

Intercontinental Edinburgh The George

The InterContinental Edinburgh The George has been welcoming hotel guests since 1881. At its heart are five listed Georgian townhouses, built in 1775 as homes for Edinburgh’s most prosperous citizens. The hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the city or conduct business. The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen was once home to acclaimed novelist Susan Ferrier, whilst Burr & Co. is a lovely quirky coffee shop with a devoted local following. The hotel also boasts 8 meeting rooms and equipped gym.
