I've stayed at quite a few hotels for conferences and personal travel, and while I don't often stay in such pricey locations (not that this one was super pricey), this stay has been my favorite
experience so far!
Right from the beginning I was greeted by friendly staff, who were not only able to check me in early, but handled a room change I requested without batting an eye. The theme of friendly and helpful service was a continual theme throughout my stay. By the second day even the cafe staff remembered my choice of beverage :)
The building itself was interesting and historic. I wish I had taken more time to explore its features (old bank vaults on every floor, fascinating old elevator faces).
In the room, though not large by any means, I was impressed with the number of outlets! There were even USB ports on the nightstand which meant I didn't have to move furniture to plug in. Refreshing!
Less than a block to the Alamo, and the Riverwalk.
10/10 would stay again. [Less]
